It was too hard to lose the last two. Even with a depleted roster. Too hard.

I get that Grant has a lot of valuable skills. Dependable three point shooter. Versatile defender. Can even handle the rock a bit.

But.. it feels like more often than not he does NOT show up in the big moments where we need him. I think he'd be great as a third/fourth option. But.. giving him that kind of money if he's the second option is just terrible imo. I think we're in a terrible position unless we get a trade for a star this summer, which is why I think we should tank. I think we should tank for as high as lotto pick as we can and package everything possible for a big star this summer. A second/first option to pair with Dame. And then you can pay Grant.

But if we don't do that.. I just don't see how it's prudent to pay Grant 25-30 million a year. I just don't.

I think there is a real chance if there is no arranged deal with Grant, the Pistons could sign him for imagine
that team if they win the lottery, with a front court of Victor, Duren and Grant with Cade Cunningham and
Ivey.

One of SA, Houston and Detroit are in prime position to get Victor. Too bad Portland can't settle on a course of
action for either tank or do whatever it takes to support Dame.
