Ideal realistic but not going to happen off-season as of this exact second:

Draft Scoot
Trade Little+#23 for DDR+pick back
Trade #43+Hart TPE for Pritchard
Get a Naz Reid type player with the MLE
Retain Grant, Tybulle, Eubanks, Winslow

Dame/Pritchard
Thybulle/Sharpe
Grant/Winslow
DeRozan/Reid
Nurkic/Eubanks

Solid lineup if healthy, which given history we know has a zero percent chance of happening.

Scoot gets time to develop. No need to rush him.

Basically, if we're running a dual timeline team - commit to it. Get the best youth you can with the assets available. And get the best veterans with the assets available. Won't make fans of either side happy, but will keep the team interesting enough to remain profitable.

Kinda surprised to not see Chauncey or Lillard at Scoot’s workout. Maybe they were for a while but only showed film for part of it…

Yeah that is odd indeed. Maybe he will work out again?

Danny Marang has a picture on twitter that lists the guys at today's workout to be

Sergio Oliva, Schmitz, Dewayne Hankins, Cronin, Bert Kolde, Andre Patterson

Looks to be the financial brain trust but one has to wonder if the thoughts of Scoot/Sharpe
in Portland's BC for the rest of the decade is on Portland's minds. Simons would be a great
fit with them as the sharpshooter as a sixth man

According to him, he only has one more in CHA. I guess Lillard was there for part of it, at least…

I don't know what "dapped him up" means but he flat out says he didn't talk to him today...kinda sad actually.

Why is that sad?

Do we know if they talked after this interview? If Dame and the team is going out to dinner with him later this evening?

I don't understand this need so many have to micro-analyze every interaction or non-interaction. Maybe Dame didn't talk to him ahead of his workout because he knows the kid is there for a job interview. Maybe they said a few words and that isn't a 'talk'. Maybe they're talking later. Maybe they won't talk at all.

I don't get why this is sad or not-sad. I don't get why everyone wants to know every little interaction between people and to pick it apart. It sort of reminds me of the episode of Seinfeld where Kramer alleges the bank employee didn't give him a 'hello' and so he should get free money because the promo says 'get a hello when you come in or we'll pay you!' and the bank employee said 'hey' instead, so that wasn't a 'hello'.

It certainly appears Scoot had a great workout in Portland and likely has cemented his spot in the top
3 with the only question being whether he goes 2/3.

The question then becomes who is available at 3 for it'll either be the player who fits the best for
Portland (Miller) or is the more talented player (Scoot). It's a nice choice to have but let's see how
Miller's workout on June 10 goes and whether he works out in Portland

I could speculate just as easily about what would make him not be friendly, polite and encouraging to a brand new kid going to the biggest job interview of his life...I dunno I guess I'm weird like that. Cool Seinfeld story :P

I think that optics matter, and what I mean by that is: Cronin and company will of course be at the workout along with Dame to give the impression to the rest of the league GMs, that we have every intention of drafting Scoot or Miller at #3. Whether we do or not, remains to be seen.

I'm hoping we trade #3 because neither player IMO makes us better by means of an upgrade, any time soon if ever. Can't say it loud enough... I really don't want to draft a guard, or a perimeter shooting forward that likes to play with guns. There must be a better use of that pick.

I think it's going to be Scoot.CHA is going to regret the decision for over a decade. If it's Miller instead Portland will probably try to thread the needle, if it's Scoot I think Dame gets traded before the trade deadline.

Funny coincidence I lived in Salt Lake and used to watch Dame at Weber. Weber states head athletic trainer was a friend and client. I live less than 10 miles from Marietta Georgia now where Scoots from and grew up. That's an insane coincidence
From Portland to Reno to Vegas to LA to SLC and on to HotLanta. Winning at life. Too Blessed to be Stressed

Regardless of what we do, I'd like to trade Ant to the Magic for eleven, potentially, and to take Bilal Coulibaly. Though I think he might end up gone by then.

You would trade a 23 year old who puts up 20 a game out of position for a complete unknown? Maybe we could make a secondary trade of Little for Bane?

Knicks pick and anf for amen if we can pull that off. Screw losing the pick protection if we are keeping 3

Just to add onto this great interview with Scoot, the end of season press conference with Cronin really grew me into a supporter of him, great listen imo
