In other news and to avoid anymore needless Dame talk, does anyone know anything
about Edy Tavares, who is a 7-2 center who has been playing for Real Madrid?

BE is reporting Portland has made him a multi-year contract offer

31 years old, tall, long arms, elite shot blocker, good rebounder, slow, good around the rim (usually dunks the ball)

if he gets caught in space, hell get cooked

generally, hes not really an nba player, no skill on offense and slow on the defensive end

Were trading Dame and paying 31 year old bigs who got run out of the league for lack of footspeed back when they were 22.

Stupid.

We should be going after guys like Paul Reed - still young, super athletic, great motor, great length, switchable for a C, not ideal size but no MLE type FA is going to be ideal.

I wonder if the Blazers are using AI to run their team. ChatGPT: who is a tall player that we could get for cheap...

That would be "Meyers Leonard"

Bol Bol is a free agent now and definitely worth a 2 year minimum deal with a team option on year 3. I'd rather have Bol as my 14th man than Jon Butler

I like Bol Bol. Only real hold up is that we will likely have move players coming in than going out in whatever trade happens around Dame.

Great, can’t wait to see Tavares barely make it to half court on fast breaks. Not a good fit imo.

I think Tavares can be a Starting (bad) Center. At least he's big and plays to his strengths. Could actually be effective guarding Joker, but he'd be a net negative overall.
