Could a Blazers team of Simons-Herro-Thybulle-Grant-Ayton make the playoffs?
Simons-Herro-Grant-Ayton potentially produce nearly 80 points a game.
Blazers bench: Scoot-Sharpe-DJovic-Jaquez-D.Robinson.Murray-Brown
I like this team.

Quit making Herro to Portland a thing.

LOL...not a chance in hell. That team doesn't even sniff the play-in. Worst defense and rebounding in the league
people already trying to justify a terrible return from trading Dame and Nurk

1) No proven point guard
2) Bunch of inefficient high-volume scorers who play little to no defense
3) Young center who has zero intention to provide any inside presence defensively
4) Experienced and vetted tank commanders like Grant or Simons in charge
It doesn't certainly look like a playoffs team to me. It appears to be a talented paper tiger that turns out to be an utter crap on the court.

Not only does Miami not include the necessary picks to obtain Lillard (cuz they don't have them), but you want the Blazers to take back Duncan Robinson instead of Lowry's expiring contract? What a horrible deal. The Blazers are better off with a disgruntled Lillard.

The ONLY way Herro ends up in Portland is if a team wants to OVERPAY for Ant. If that happens they could replace Ant with Herro, but I think that's a downgrade since we will need Ant's shooting and 12-16 mpg at PG without Dame.

Herro can also play the backup point like he has done in Miami. Blazers could have Scoot-Ant-Herro all handle the ball if necessary. Herro and Robinson both bring outside shooting (both nearly career 38% and 39% behind the 3 point line).

Given that you can can get into the playoffs as a 10th seed these days. Yeah, much worse teams have trotted onto the court. But it would be a 1st round sweep team.
I don't see why the Blazers would want to create such a log jam at guard by adding Herro though.

I don't even think your starting 5 is the best starting 5 on that roster.
That setup is fine if you're at the beginning of a rebuild and if you weren't giving up arguably the best offensive player in the NBA to achieve it.
FWIW, I really like Jaquez and think he's going to be really good. If the blazers end up getting him I think he's the long-term SF for the Blazers.

I have hope that given sufficient offensive opportunities, Ayton would be more invested in the defensive side of the ball. When your back court is a couple of chuckers like Anferno and whatshisface from Miami that's not coming here cause their trade offer is garbage, there's no chance of that happening.

Horrible trade for Dame. Herro and Jovic would had been a better haul than Camara and JRue and only one first round pick. Cronin and Schmidt are idiots.

Honestly looking at it, depending on what comes from Jrue this team could be better than expected, we need Sharpe to flash and Scoot to stay healthy and progress like expected...we could get sneaky good.

3 picks don’t guarantee anything. OKC traded Harden for picks and those picks never returned a player near Harden’s caliber. I would still have preferred young talent that you know can possibly develop like a Jovic (versatile 6’10 player that can play on the perimeter and with a decent outside shot) and a 23 year old Tyler Herro that you know can score. I guess we I’ll see what these picks garner in the future and what kind of players Jovic and Herro turn out to be.
Also note that Ainge does and would possibly like to trade for Herro and this should be noted as Ainge has put together some good teams in the past.

I’m also concerned about Time Lords ability to stay healthy as Portland has a history of bigs dealing with long term injuries.
