Good secondary trade, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Brogdon and Williams shopped even further.

FWIW we have gotten 3 first round picks and 2 swaps (that may never convey.)

Scoot/Brogdon
Ant/Sharpe
Thybulle/Murray
Grant/Walker
Ayton/Williams

Dare I say, that team is… not really looking that bad…

I hope not, this team is really well balanced right now honestly.

You aren't wrong, they are exactly the type of role players you want when trying to make a playoff push.

If Scoot comes in and looks like a ROY then that team could disrupt our tanking plans! We need at least one more high pick to go our way...

Initial thoughts - getting Timelord, who is 25, fits this core age-wise, and plays a position of need, is awesome. Plus the two 1sts, even if the GSW pick is going to be a late 1st. Brogdon is solid when healthy, but that's rare. I hope Cronin tries to flip him, but I'm not expecting much of a return (heavily protected 1st, two 2nd round picks) unless the Blazers take on salary.

Boston a legit contender. Crazy how we made Milwaukee and Boston more dominant teams in the east in the same off-season.

Also, in before salty Heat fans complain that we didn't trade Jrue for Herro.

I’m bullish on that Warrior pick. Their team is weird this year and getting pretty old / injury prone. I think that can be in the teens.

From most of us Heat fans, we can all but agree that Cronin did the right thing looking at it now without bias, absolutely great haul for you guys, plus can even improve more if you decide to move on from Brogdon or Timelord. Although as constructed you guys have quality role players around your young players. Id move on into the season with team as is, perhaps move brogdon only for another FRP and a wing defender/ or back up veteran pg if available.

The Blazers will keep RW3. He fits age wise and will bring exactly what the team needs. If he can stay healthy, it's an absolute coup to get him. 90% sure Brogdon will be flipped soon.

I love what the blazers did. We have absolutely reloaded with young talent this off-season, getting Scoot, Ayton, and Robert Williams (still only 25).

We have two vets in Grant and Brogdon that can either help us win now if the team looks good to start the year, or can be shipped off for more assets if we what to play for ping pong balls.

And when Scoot and Sharpe are up for extensions and we need more cheap talent injected to our roster, we have a pick swap in 2028, 3 FRPs in 2029, and another swap in 2030.

We have built for our future and our future’s future.

I am so happy right now

I hope so. Just don't expect a huge haul. There was a reason why Timelord and two 1sts were attached to obtain Holiday.

From what early July was looking like to now with the Dame trade, I will absolutely eat crow in saying Cronin will blow it. He navigated this situation about as perfectly as humanly possible.

Yeah, I expect at best only a protected first round or second rounders and an expiring.

Maybe to Bulls for Lonzo, the Blazers pick returned and some seconds?

If Dame had just kept his mouth shut and quietly asked out, he'd likely be in Miami for the system is
set up for the star players to end up where they wish to be. Just don't try to force your way out for
it pissed off the NBA GM's, who outside of Miami, were in Cronin's corner.

Quite possibly the second Boston saw the Dame trade go down, they got on the phone and in short
order got Jrue. Jrue for his part, played it perfectly for he said not one word when he got traded
other than give out a list of 5/6 teams where he wanted to go. Mad props and respect for Jrue,
who now gets to once again, try to lock up Dame, whenever the Bucks play the Celtics

He's doing a fine job, especially as a young GM.

It's a small fraternity of NBA GM's and other than the GSW and Miami, it's likely Cronin can just pick up
the phone and ask advice on what to do. I'd bet Cronin and Denver GM Calvin Booth keep in touch on
a regular basis.
