Odd starting lineup tonight with Scoot and Murray in the backcourt.

Cant remember any season I cared this little about the Blazers. It's hard to be somewhere in the middle of the gutter

Yes it's only pre season but I'm slightly happy to see clingan hit a 3 right away

I wonder if scoot will keep slinging more bricks than the cartel this season? Would be nice to see his shots fall at least 40 percent from the field

Meh, he's kind of a volume jacker who will (and has) put up stat lines along the lines of 1 or 2 of 10 from the floor. I could care less if he's waived tbh as he's pretty expendable

Billups is an absolute joke. I know preseason doesn't matter but the last 2 plays should get him fired. First he has Scoot defending the dunker spot against kai jones, with Walker being the biggest player on the court and he is pressing over the half court line? Like WTF swap Scoot and Walker in that situation at least if you aren't gonna put in an actual center to defend the lob play. Oh and then last minute we chuck up a stupid 3 on the most pointless and uninvolved play ever, like does he not actually do anything in the huddle?

This team has so many problems I know but god I hate Billups so much.

Rough shooting night for Scoot, and some pretty bad turnovers. However, I counted 3 passes that went to brick layers on the perimeter. Certainly doing a pretty convincing Fultz impression…

DC looked like he had some jitters. He seems like a “system” player, and right now the Blazers have a piss-poor “system” on both sides of the ball.

Okay, first one is over with. Time to move on.

Owners suck, management sucks, coach sucks, team really sucks. Nothing redeeming about this team or organization. Will Jody ever sell, doesn't seem likely... ?

NBA League Pass sucks. Stopped working with 12-seconds left. Maybe Clingan should have been guarding the inbound pass. Not a lot to be excited about.

Could we expect anything less from a woman who fired a super bowl winning coach who did nothing but overachieve?

On the plus side this team will lose a lot of games.

Scoot, was a little rough, still trying to force some things instead of taking what the defense gives him, not awful, not good either

Camara, had a nice game, looked good/active, Best player on the floor for POR

Clingan, had a decent run, 19min, would like to see other players actually look for him a little more, even when he is not scoring, he is good to use as a secondary offensive hub

Walker, good hustle, as expected, still cannot shoot, had some brutal shots from the perimeter

Murray, he plays some nice defense & has some nice secondary offensive capabilities, but still has some ugly shooting possessions, clearly in his own head

Banton, as expected, tends to play out of control\without any structure, he has some moments where he makes a couple of decent shots\plays, but overall has way to many poor\bad possessions. The fewer minutes he plays, the better

The rest? Not worth mentioning.

It would be very interesting if the Blazers hired a Larry Brown, X and Os genius for this team. Would this group be able to execute this advanced concepts?

But like another poster said in this draft, that would squeeze out more wins, and decrease ping pong balls.

In the meantime our young players arent developing and our vets aren't being put in a position to maximize their value and even so the ping pong balls might not go your way.

Coach is not the position to use for tanking purposes. Trade away your vets, make use of the injury list, but get a coach who develops young players and makes vets look good enough to trade away easily for value. Don't get me wrong Cronin is to blame here as well, but it would be nice if they looked good enough that someone wanted them...

Let’s not get carried away for this was Portland’s first pre-season game and a lot of players
sat out this game.

Going to be a long season but hopefully some guys will develop into better players
