I think I've seen more clanks and airballed 33 footers in this first 7 minutes then in any other game in my 40 year watching history.

Sharpe starting off ice cold, whole team, in fact

Only 13-4, but feels like Memphis should be up by a lot more

Wow, ridiculous shot by Ja

MEM has guys like Wells, Spencer, Pippen Jr and Huff as contributors, but POR apparently doesn’t value 2nd round picks or their 2-way spots the same way

I like the Gonzaga players in the NBA, wish POR had one of them, just good fundamental players

Good pass by Avdija to Walker

Bad TO by Avdija there

MEM really out rebounding POR so far
22-11

Ok, RW3 take it easy, now again, time to put Reath in

Just an awful 2min? sequence by both teams

RW3 on the bench to start the 3rd QTR, smart move, is this a sign he’s going to be traded (not right now)? I would think so just gotta keep him healthy to the deadline.

Man, Simons takes some really bad shots, I think it is because he feels he needs to be that #1 go to guy, which he clearly is not. He will be much more effective as a #3/#4 option, for some other team.

RW3 not on the bench, fingers crossed

Grant looks hurt as well

lol, POR benefiting from a ridiculous amount of long rebounds

Sloppy play by MEM has allowed POR to get back into this game, then a 3 by JJ, steal & dime by Ja, back up by 11, that quick

Simon’s 1-10, 0-5 3pt, 2pts, ugly

Avdija filling up stat sheet again 10-5-4 so far

Avdija didn’t even touch Kennard there, bad call

Bad 3pt shot by Banton, then bad transition D

Yikes, Taze Moore in already

Deni hurt

MEM pulling away by end of 3Q

I think one could make a very decent case for Deni being our best player at the moment. He sort of does it all.

Reports are grant sustained a knee injury and Robert Williams had a concussion. Probably pseudo injuries but who knows?

Wow, great sequence by MEM, block on Camara, then a 3 on the other end, MEM now up by 22

Ja another great pass

Concussion for RW3, meaning he is ok, trade still viable

Grant out for night, and (maybe more?) w/knee but, Deni is back

Weird challenge by MEM

POR 6-38 from 3pt. who needs outside shooters anyway?

I mean that is just pathetic

Man POR 2-way players are worthless

MEM- Jay Huff & Pippen Jr (both graduated to big league team) & Spencer

POR - Minaya, Moore, McGowens

Yeah, Cronin and scouting staff have been shortsighted & underwhelming in this aspect

Yuki sighting, POR embarrassing night is now complete

Rupert with some decent minutes in garbage time

Reath can’t seem to hit a 3pt shot this year, which makes him pretty worthless, and then he hits one, shooting 35% for the year

Game is mercifully over

Player of the game?

Deni again, 17-8-6 with some really solid, D and hustle

Well if this team is as bad as some here claim we should have no problem being a bottom 4 team in the West, crap we could fall lower if they really roll out the tank in the last 15-20 games.

This game was basically unwatchable.

I keep harping on it, but Portland's offense doesn't really exist. It's basically pass around the perimeter and set weak screens at 28 feet that don't create any advantage, while others stand around and watch. There's basically no movement or screening off-ball.

2-16 from Sharpe, Simons, and Grant is going to get you an L on pretty much every night.

The Blazers lost to a way more talented top-to-bottom team that is much better coached.

This game taught me something...I'm basically tuning in to see Clingan.

I know what Camara and Scoot are going to do. I'm interested in seeing Sharpe, but I know what he's going to do too--score smoothly on mostly poor efficiency and then disappear for very long stretches. I LOVE the way Deni plays, but he's not really enough on his own to get excited about tuning in.

Has anybody heard about Clingan's injury--I assume it's the knee thing on that scary play from the other night?
And Scoot was in a car accident in Houston? WTF?

Sharpe lacks that chip on his shoulder that made Lillard so great, if you take Lillards philosophy and personality in the NBA and put into Sharpe I bet we would see a much more aggressive Sharpe. This is a guy that looks the same if his team is being blown out by 30 and he is having a horrid game, or if he has scored 40 points on great efficiency against a top 3 team in the NBA.

I would love to see his reaction if he won MVP one year, I would imagine this would be his entire speech "Well yeah thanks I appreciate it." in the most level headed this is just normal attitude ever.

Even the MEM announcers made a point to say the Blazers are low in APG and play a 1-on-1 style of ball. Just a total lack of any system on offense.

MEM is one of those teams that squeezes every last drop from SRP and 2-way contracts - wish we had an org like that.

Simons is quickly playing himself into a 'salary dump only' caliber guy. He has been absurdly bad this year for the most part. Just cut the loss and get him off this squad.

Deni is for sure our best player at the moment. Does it all.

Everyone is being a bit too hard on the Baby Blazers.

Other than retaining Grant, I think that management has done a decent job with the rebuild. Ayton was a bad move in hindsight, but worth a chance that a change of scenery would bring back what made him be picked #1. Drafting Murray versus trading the pick made little sense due to the roster construction and roster limits, but I can't really fault management for hoping he would hopefully develop enough to catch up to his brother. The problem is that we're a team of role players. Some solid - I'm the biggest Sharpe fan on RealGM, but I am realistic enough to admit he's probably a number 2 option on a good team. I like Simons, but he's a six man of the year type of player. Yet either him or Grant are the team's number 1 option.

Jacking up 46 three pointers when the team lacks a single decent three point shooter is just laziness/incompetence on Billup's part.

Hat tip to Brandon-Clyde. Keep posting the GLBs and I'll keep checking the game threads, even when we're blown out by 30.

Missed the last 2 games and don't even care. Simons is near unwatchable and now folks are getting injured, this season could get even uglier too.

Billups really needs to go. I know we have a ton of issues and our players have warts all over but he does nothing to make any of it better. Literally zero value added these days IMO.

What the heck is up with Ayton. Don't some players wrap up a finger injury and keep playing? How bad is it to miss multiple games. I suspect maybe we are already starting to milk injuries
