Mathurin (#6) outplaying Sharpe (#7) so far
Sharpe settles for too many lazy possessions, needs to be more assertive
Simons looks back to form, time to trade him, sooner rather than later
Great drive by Avdija but, he can’t finish the dunk
Walker on Turner is not a good matchup
Walker is awful, Stone hands on a great pass by Scoot, then a bad turnover, then blocked on a drive, bad shot leads to easy fast break score by IND, then offensive foul to negate 3 by Simons
Mathurin on fire
IND on a run, now up by 9
Simons is best when he is not trying to force shots, when he just plays within the flow of the offense he can be deadly. This is why I think he has positive value to playoff teams, who will utilize him in the right way
IND hitting outside shots, POR outside of Simons is not, seems like a common occurrence?
Simons back in, Billups, trying to keep POR in this game before it gets out of hand
I like Avdija, I like his all-around game, however, I do not understand why POR paid the steep price to get him, when he is pretty much a complementary player? He’s a good complementary player, but nonetheless, that is what he is after 5 years, which makes no sense to me given that this team does not have a premier player yet, so why spend all those assets on such a player?
