4 guys out, 2 questionable, yikes

Good pass by Avdija to Camara for easy score, then hit a tough fall away a few minutes later

both teams starting cold, POR a little colder

Is Sharpe on the floor? He hasn’t touched the ball yet, meanwhile, Simons 0-3 from 3pt

What is Grant wearing in the bench? Yikes

Sabonis is just a load

Sharpe 8min, 0-2

Banton 6min, 7 shots, lol

Is this the Banton show? The guy makes a couple baskets and then he can’t stop shooting!!!

SAC really seems to play down to their opponents

Is Keon Ellis supposed to be good? Doesn’t look like a good player to me, doesn’t look for his offense and can’t seem to dribble.

Actually, the whole SAC team outside of Sabonis & Fox is unimpressive

Great pass by Avdija to Sharpe

This is the type of game where you watch Sharpe and he just does not look like a #1 type of guy. He just plays like a mercurial #2/#3 type player, who can go off for 30 on any given night, but then disappears for several games.

Thank god Banotn was making shots! our starting guards were a disaster in the first half - could not hit the broadside of a barn

Love this play from Deni...
I'm going to be sad if the Blazers win this. No reason to win this, really...

Nice block by Avdija

SAC looks like a complete inept team tonight. Yikes they suck, 17 TO so far

15-6-4 for Avdija thru 3 quarters

Keegan Murray with an awful game

Ayton with 24, Simons with 21

Another completely meaningless win. I wonder if wins like this make it more likely that Cronin trades one of the big three, or goes the other way and trades draft pick/assets to acquire another vet.? Probably the latter, what an inept organization.

Way to embrace mediocrity POR

Banton sucks, losing type of player. Why do you think BOS gave him away for nothing? That guy will never win you anything

Huh?

I think I said it looked like he was making some strides, he is a bench player most likely and that is based on if he can find a shred of consistency in his outside shot.

He is just as expendable as Banton, but since POR actually used something of value on him (1st round pick) chances are they are they would be more vested in him than a guy who has bounced around with 3? teams in his 5 subpar years in the NBA.

I have been around far too long and seen many players like him come and go, they are all the same, And they all end up in the same spot, out of the league

Murray has two more years to show he belongs in the league

Interesting to read the Kings board and how down they are on Keegan. Same draft class
as Sharpe and I wonder how enthused either team will be to offer either guy the max
extension every member of that draft class expects.

Well, every player including the HOFers “…end up in the same spot, out of the league” lol

In all seriousness, Banton has made some shooting and defensive strides this year—that’s undeniable—whether it’s borne of consistent role, teammates, hard work, etc…who knows. We also don’t even know if it’s going to last, as we’re still on a pretty small sample size this season. One thing he hasn’t really improved on is his consistency or shot selection.

If he keeps playing the way he’s playing, I have zero problem with him as a 6th man type…and there will be a lot of teams for a lot of years who will feel the same, IMO.

Your bias against Banton is pretty clear. By the way you talk about him, he could go off for 50 points for 5 straight games and you would still be making a case about how much he sucks.

My opinion on Blanton is that he is a good 7-8th man for a team that needs a willing scorer off the bench. Someone that will not be afraid to shoot when the rest of the bench is composed of non-scorers who are reluctant to try and score. The type of guy you can play or sit depending on team need at the moment. More helpful on a good team that just needs a spark off of the bench.
