Shaedon's Vertical???

Post#1 » by Butter » Fri Dec 6, 2024 6:37 pm

Michael Jordan's vertical was allegedly 48"

Hers is a list of NBA legends, to include Clyde the Glide

Shaedon Sharpe had a 49" vert at the combine?

It wouldn't surprise me if Sharpe topped out at 49" on a perfect jump. But all the players on that list probably have a higher vertical than listed on perfect jumps, also.

Mostly, I'd trade 10" of Sharpe's vertical for HALF the talent on the other players mentioned on that list. The road to Chinese basketball is filled with former NBA players with vertical athleticism and low skill.

Exactly. Shaedon Has all the tools to be physically dominant. If his shot is not falling, he should be attacking the rim.

And if you are physically dominant, you should be able to defend as well?

There is something called basketball IQ and awareness.

Like the current best player by far in the NBA has no vertical but ATG basketball IQ.

You can have all the physical talent in the world but if you don't understand when and how to use it, it won't mean much.

Indeed but he's still young and I think hes def worth keeping around after this contract to find out if he figures the iq part out enough to at least be a solid number 2 option
