Huge game by Simons or Grant so LA gives up their first.

Would be great if both teams could lose.

Camara looked like he was scared of LeBron there on that drive easy bucket for LBJ

Well, Billups is not the only coach to challenge a call way too early in a game and they lost the challenge

Transition defense, been a problem all year, no improvement

Sharpe starting out aggressive, 7pts so far, make that 9

Scoot with a 3, then draws a foul on a drive, quick 5pts

Sharpe just abused Knecht there, poster dunk, look like he got fouled too

Knecht looks bad on defense, so far at least 2? 3? times just totally burned on defense.

I have a feeling LBJ may be playing a lot of minutes tonight

So Scoot gets drilled in the face and shouldered into twice by Milton, and he gets the foul?

Knecht let’s Murray get the ball over him, then fouls him with less than 1s left

Murray still can’t hit 3’s, 30.6% for the year, nice drive on next play, of course it was against Knecht

Nice steal by Scoot there, easy bucket for Avdija

Bad TO by Scoot there, just totally lost the dribble, followed by a bad pass by Shaedon for another turnover, then DA with a TO

DA needs to stop taking 3’s!

What a drive by Deni there, nice

And here comes Billups dumb challenge call, I doubt they’re going to overturn an offensive foul call, and I was right

Well, at least idiot coaches challenges are done for the night.

I’d take Max Christie back as part of a package from LAL, in a deal for Simons or RW3, or Grant, he is only 21yrs old

Simons drives into the paint with nowhere to go, TO

Really nice pass by Reaves to LBJ there

This may be an LBJ type night, 18pts so far

Good look by Sharpe there to end the half, he missed the shot, but those are the types of shots. I’d rather see him take those mid range shots than a 3pt one, and he is able to get that shot off on pretty much anyone

Deni nice stat line at half 9-5-4

Scoot 6-3-4 with 1 TO

Sharpe 14pts, 4-11, 1-5 3pt

POR 10 TO, 7 in 2Q, Deni with 0!
29% 3pt
Down by 9

Nice alley-oop pass by Sharpe to DA

The amount of times that Deni hits the floor, I am surprised he does not get hurt more, he is one built, dude

Camara with the follow up slam, I wonder how many LAL fans are asking who is that guy? Then he badly misses an open dunk. Hope he did not hurt his hand there.

Another nice take by Deni there

Simons having a run for POR, 8pts

Yep, LBJ it’s going to single-handedly carry LAL to this win, 27pts so far

Deni another drive for a score, he’s done that at least 5-6 times tonight?

DC block, then Deni with a great drive & score, fakes out 3 LAL players, including LBJ. The finger guns get him a tech though, lol

DC needs to work on his finishing

Reaves with a deep 3

Sharpe draws foul, on DFS, been very quiet so far in the 2nd half

Wild pass by scoot, TO

Scoot with a block on an LAL 3pt attempt

and it’s the Banton show, two straight misses, 1-4 in 4min, he got bailed out on that last shot by DC, who got the rebound and then got fouled

LAL pulling away up by 17

Nice Scoot to Camara dunk there

Tough shot there by Simons

There you go Simons hits a 3. Hey Pelinka, wouldn’t he look good in purple and gold?

Where is Rui? Only 16min

I didn’t even realize Reddish had played in this game, but he has 18min

Can’t see LeBron letting LAL lose this game

Christie has 24pts, finished with 28

What a tough drive by Deni there, great move

Oh, there is Rui

I bet you JJ wishes he had that challenge right now, Camara pushed DFS into Simons there, now Simons gets (3) FT attempts

Deni draws foul, first FT of the game? POR down by 4

Man, that was a great and 1 by Sharpe, but LBJ draws the offensive foul, tough, but great move by Shaedon nonetheless

Did you see that 3 by Simons Pelinka?

Nasty dunk by Sharpe!!

LBJ with the dagger 3, that is what clutch looks like Cronin

And LBJ just finishes the game, 38 for the night. How in the hell did POR give up a lay in there when they needed to foul?

Could only watch bits here and there...

Clingan just hasn't looked the same since coming back from his knee injury. He looks slower, less vertical and just more plodding in general. I honestly wish they'd just sit him until he's 100%...i.e. able to play without the brace.

Even though he's still a long ways off, and his unforced TOs are brutal...I like what I'm seeing from Scoot. I do think something has clicked for him a slightly. His on-ball defense has been better, as has his table setting. I still think the midrange is going to be the key for him. His selflessness is good but there's just something about his game that still kinda reeks of "video game" play. I see it in players like LaMelo Ball, too...a little too much going for the Sportscenter highlight and play celebration rather than the quiet focus on winning. Could just be a generational thing...says old man yelling at clouds. lol

Deni just continues to impress.

can't know at this point. That 2029 first could be a 5th pick in a loaded draft. And the 2028 & 2030 second's could be high 2nd round picks. And, importantly, Avdija might have already walked away as a UFA when the Blazers start shipping those picks to Washington

I like Avdija. He's a very good jack-of-all-trades forward and those aren't real common. But his ideal role would be as a glue man on a playoff team. He's wasted on a deep lottery team like Portland. Entertaining for sure. But by the time the Blazers may be able to use his skills optimally, he might want out of town

Return to Portland Trail Blazers
