Sharpe loses his starting spot tonight because of his defense

meanwhile, by far the worst defender on the team, bar none, Anfernee Simons, has started 174 straight games (when available) for the same coach who is benching Sharpe because of defense.

Blazer offense is so disorganized. They whole concept of penetrate and spray, requires shooters at the very least. Chauncey seems to think he has those. It's flawed at it's foundation.

Its baffling that Billups still has this job. Trading Ant and firing Billups need to be the top priorities.

Nah he's losing lots of games. I can't stand Chauncey but at this point I'm on board with Letting him get us coop or a top 5 pick before we move 2 seconds after the final buzzer after the 82nd game.

Continue to like what I am seeing from Scoot, is it possible he has "really" turned the corner? Sharp was benched for bad D effort which is fine, but how can you justify starting one of the worst defenders in the league - ANT?

The problem is that Chauncey seems to be really bad at developing players this wasting a lot of development time. It would be great to get top picks but unless you develop those players getting those top picks doesn't help much. Of course it would help to get rid of at least some of the vets.

Scoot has always been a willing passer--the question has always been, "where will the offense come from, to open up the passing?" He's hitting just enough now and his "feel" on both ends has leveled up. Will it continue? I'm sure there are going to be ups and downs for a 20 year old playing the hardest position in the NBA. But I hold out hope that he'll end up an average starter...

Blazers keep putting Sharpe on an offensive island, which he isn't good at navigating 1:2 or 3, once the defense collapses. He's much better coming off of a screen.

Oh I agree, I just think we are this far gone on this season I'm fine just letting him lose us games so we get a legit piece moving forward.

Honestly though I couldn't blame them for firing Chauncey sooner if they do, pretty sure I would've gotten rid of him 2 seasons ago if I were the owner
