Has Sydney Thomas been a GLB? I don't remember all 63. If not, nominate her. Solid choice for a winnable game against the Pistons.

And not surprisingly, the Sydney Sweeney rebound thing never panned out. :'D

Thunder injuries: Chet Holmgren (questionable), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Lugentz Dort, Isaiah Hartenstein, Cason Wallace (out)

lol, none of the top teams take POR seriously, nor do they care if POR subverts their own future by winning these games and making the play in (or worse) the playoffs. OKC after all, is likely picking before POR anyway.

If Chet doesn't play that is OKC's top 6 players?

This after BOS rested their top 3 players and CLE sat their top player.

I would think POR should win this game, but if they don't?

This might be the worst defensive game I've ever seen from Simons...it's amazing how much other teams hunt him.

I sure wish we could put the hands, rebounding technique, and motor of Walker into Clingan...

Grant is the worst contract in the league. Nice job Cronin.

I will never, ever like the not-Sonics, so I am displeased we lost badly to their JV squad. Yuck.

Okay, what in the actual hell is going on with Grant? He must have the yips or something? Maybe he's got some off-court distraction that is impacting his play?

This game was a study in contrasts...

Good role players whose coach knows how to put them in a position to succeed stepping up to take on larger roles

vs.

Well...the opposite.

The Blazers are going to win exactly zero games if they shoot 34% from 2, and 18% from 3.

I can't tell if it's just recency bias, but I feel like the Blazers must be bottom 5 in opp 3pt%.

they rank 20th

pretty ugly loss tonight.....geeeeezuzzz

Simons scored 13 straight Blazers points in the 2nd Q and had 14 points on 7 shots. He ended up with 14 points on 16 shots. Worse, he was an absolute sieve on defense. Camara/Grant were 4-23 on FG's (17%) and 1-13 on three's (8%)

Meh, close enough, lol.

The scheme has a bad habit of overhelping on the weakside. Which is okay as long as you're able to adjust if you're getting roasted by it. But the Blazers don't really make adjustments like that. Chauncey adjusts by subbing. It was especially bad in the Boston game...

Tonight it looked like OKC actually ran (gasp, wait for it)...offense. One that actually included offball screens and both N/S and E/W cutting.

I was genuinely surprised that the Blazers didn't play more zone, actually.

I'm so glad we won all those pointless games to wind up as maybe the 11-12 seed and bad lotto odds when all is said and done...
