Interesting to read other team game boards and I see some fans wanting to get rid of Josh Hart.

I'd love to see him come back for some things never change for he still seems reluctant to shoot

Hart is a very good role player who rebounds and defends very well but you need a big time scorer to be on the floor with him to make up for his reluctance to try and score. He is much like Thybulle except I think that Hart is actually more capable of scoring but just unwilling.

Him and everybody besides Jimmy buckets wants miami lol

I'm curious what they'd offer. Personally anything is fine to me as long as we arent taking on dead weight but typically riley lowballs so I'd imagine the miami offers would be borderline offensive

Miami does not have much we need, and fits our time line, that Riley would trade. His best offer will be something like Rozier with some draft pick, is my wag.

trading Simons would be addition by subtraction for Portland in my book

I'd trade for Duncan Robinson and a couple of 2nd's. Then trade Robinson for another, smaller, expiring contract

that said, I have a hard time seeing Portland and Miami having any non-bitter discussions. Too many hard feelings. And of course, Cronin would demand way too much

Deni is really getting his averages up to close out the season. Quite the run by that man

Deni is an interesting case...his averages are actually pretty level from last year, which is weird for a player that some are touting as "breaking out"...

His defense has (thankfully) moved back to his mean this season, and his USG is up, FT rate and % is up, and he's putting up more shot volume which accounts for the couple point bump in PPG.

Simons & Banton yesterday....yikes

Neither one of those guys are winning players IMO

Banton was 0-6\0-3 in 19min, 19 minutes more than he deserves. For a team that needs to open up at least 1 roster spot, there just is no reason to keep this guy. There is not a real compelling reason to keep ANY of the players from 11-15 (that would be Reath, Murray, Banton, Rupert and Walker)

Simons was 5-20\1-8 3pt and had some horrible misses, he was listed as questionable before the game, looked affected by his forearm, but apparently even though POR has a snowballs chance in h311 of making the play in, they thought it was worth starting him and playing him 35min, even though the wheels totally came off in the 2nd half, just an idiotic display, by the coaching staff (primarily), by Simons (black hole ISO game) and by Cronin for clearly failing to put his foot down and stop this nonsense.

It is the GM's job to be the adult in the room and clearly Cronin is incapable of controlling his coach or mandating what needs to be done.

The 5 starters played 41 (Deni), 39 (Camara), 39 (Sharpe), 35 (Simons, inexcusable) & 33 (DC). No other player played over 20min (Banton had 19 spectacularly poor minutes)

I mean what is Billups doing? Just grinding the starters to dust, you would think the team is playing for something when that ship has sailed.

Does Simons realize he is playing for his next NBA contract?

Simons never wants to play defense. And it appears he no longer wants to play for Portland.

Give him his wish, and send him to Miami Beach. However.....

Based on his poor play and stubborn refusing to develop his game. His next contract and home will be in Miami Beach, Greece.

I like the idea of Simon's to Orlando for a pick and Isaac. The Blazers could give him a go or just cut him as I think his contract only keeps $8M on the books (something like that). They could also flip Isaac in a follow-up trade to a team looking to cut salary.
