Should be able to go 0-2 to finish out as long as gs and la don't screw us and rest the starters

Banton 1-7, looking awful for a 25yr old, 4th year vet

Cissoko looks rough, 1-5, really raw, rougher than Rupert who is not ready for prime time either, but is a year younger. Cissoko is only 21 and in his second year, but he looks farther away than Rupert, that is if he can even make it

I did not even realize that Walker played 11 minutes, he was a ghost out there not great for him in a game like this. He’ll be two for next year, going into his fourth year, if POR decides to retain him, which should not be a certainty

Broadcasting mentioned that this was Minaya’s 3rd year, as a 2-way player mind you, he will be 27 next year, yeah, not an NBA player, but of course we’ve known this for a few years

Murray, 1-5, he has 1 year left guaranteed, on his deal, but if he can’t shoot, he is not an NBA player

Not one of these guys on the bench are worth retaining next year, this is what you would call a bad bench

The only player who played well was DC, he’s looked pretty decent, and Camara has looked his normal self

Hopefully, these last couple games that Thybulle has played, has convinced a few teams to maybe trade something for him

Just keep shooting Banton

This was a pretty easy loss for us to bank on, as GSW are engaged in a tough battle for playoff seeding and avoiding the play-in.

Unfortunately the Lakers are beating Houston so are looking more comfortable. I'm not sure where the ties would land, but we need Denver and the Clippers to win to at least motivate the Lakers to win.

Phoenix is blowing out the Spurs for their 36th win.

It'll be interesting to see who plays in game 82 for both teams. The remaining Blazers don't have a lot of
scoring, so even if the Lakers rest their starters, they should be able to win

Reason 1,000 I can’t stand Billups! Rupert shows flashes of a solid rotation player but doesn’t get time. And Banton continues to be a black hole. Why has he not been getting the minutes over Banton?

All the best outcomes tonight. Blazers lose, both Denver and Clips win. Chicago, Miami, and Phoenix all win.

As long as Blazers lose on Sunday to the Lakers who need to win, they’ll get the 9th pick…which still isn’t very good, but considering it could have been 13th just a few days ago? I’ll take it…

Do the Lakers need to win?

They've clinched the division so even if they lost and the Clippers and Denver won, I thought that the Lakers would still be in 3rd?

This game was much closer than it should have been. Camara and Thybulle need to have a sore shoulder on Sunday. Just play the scrubs.

I dont think the Lakers have anything to play for. I believe they own the tie breakers against the Nuggets and Clippers. Did LeBron get injured tonight? Thought i heard he left the game early.

I dont think Rupert is some blue chip glued to the bench that needs to be unleashed on the league like a Jermaine O'Neal but he has flashed when given PT the past week or two and its absurd to me he hasnt gotten more chances. He has a better chance to become a legit role player than Walker or Murray IMO - younger as well. Just nonsense that we have not given him enough shots to see what we have and now we have to decide on his contract. Then again, we did the same thing with our 3rd overall pick so Rayan getting this treatment shouldnt surprise.

These past 4 games have been trash games but Rupert has put up some numbers -

26mpg / 12ppg / 2.75rpg / 1.5apg / 1.75spg

3PT shot isnt great, but given his age and tools (Esp lenght) I would keep him around next year. Hope we let Walker walk (Just a decade or 2 too late to the league given his tweener'ness) and hope we use Kris as salary filler in a trade (Great kid, good motor, tries on defense, the shot is not ever coming).

Isnt rupert a team option? Keeping him would be a no brainer as would letting banton go to open up time for him (or hopefully ant as well but not gonna get my hopes up)

Yes, Rupert does have a TO

Walker is an RFA

Murray has 1 more guaranteed year left

Reath has a NG contract for 1 more year

Banton is a UFA
