Is there a target now that this money is open? Reports said they don't want long-term money, so I'm sus they'll actually use it, but it's there now with DA taking 10mil less for the buyout.

Jerami Grant $32,000,001
Jrue Holiday $32,400,000
Deni Avdija $14,375,000
Robert Williams $13,285,713
Matisse Thybulle $11,550,000
Scoot Henderson $10,748,040
Donovan Clingan $7,178,400
Shaedon Sharpe $8,399,983
Kris Murray $3,132,000
Duop Reath $2,221,677
Toumani Camara $2,221,677
Rayan Rupert $2,221,677
Hansen Yang $4,600,000
(Deandre Ayton $25,600,000)
I keep coming up with about 170M. The tax line is around 188M. So, the Blazers have around 18M margin below the threshold. Room for a full-MLE and a minimum contract if they want

MEM needs to make some moves to open up money for JJJ based on what I have read.
Clarke + ORL 1st into our MLE should work. He can play both big spots and gives effort. Squeeze the pick since they are in a pickle for making space.

Maybe not...they just signed Ty Jerome for 9M/year

Could all be an order of operations thing?

I doubt we use that cap space to sign someone, it' always been hard to sign people here but it's probably an all time low right now.
I think it's more likely we take back money in a trade for Joe's big win now player. No clue who that would be though, besides Zion or Markkanen maybe?

There are some good shooters out there: Gary Trent Jr, Nic Batum, Seth Curry, Duncan Robinson. It seems this team needs at least 1 shooter.
Duncan would probably cost the full MLE, but they Blazers could also sign a couple of vets instead of spending it all one one. I'd also like to give Bol Bol a shot. It seems he can't get consistent PT, but he puts up good numbers.
Under the radar guy: Tristan Vukcevic. Look at his numbers. Small sample size but very impressive.
In his young career he's shooting 59/35/78 Averaging 23/9/3(assists)

Chris Boucher would be a great signing as well, but I think we'll have a lot of competition for him.

Ryan Rollins is worth considering. He has developed into a good two way guard that fits the Blazers timeline.
However, Ryan is a RFA, the Bucks have offered a $2.6 million QO. Not sure how much higher the Bucks would match?

I really like this idea. Young, can play both guard spots (Granted if he is at PG you want Deni on the court), good defender, shot came around last year. I would offer 3/12 w/ a TO and see if MIL matches. Rounds the depth chart off nicely IMO -
G - Jrue Holiday / Scoot Henderson / Ryan Rollins
G - Shadeon Sharpe / Matisse Thybulle / Ryan Rollins
F - Toumani Camara / Jerami Grant / Rayan Rupert
F - Deni Avdija / Jerami Grant / Kris Murray
C - Donovan Clingan / Robert Williams III / Hansen Yang / Duop Reath

He's no longer restricted.
Bucks had to rescind his QO.

GTJr went back to MIL.

Those numbers are his "per 36 minutes". But still, agreed that it's pretty dang impressive!
May be a better prospect than Yang to develop... Otherwise, I'm not sure we can juggle another developing center on the roster.
Also, the dude is the real Mr Worldwide.
Born in Italy, holds triple citizenship (Serbian / Greek / Swedish ). Played in Spain and now the US.
He's going for total joke telling immunity!

DR went to Detroit, Batum resigned in LAC (I believe)… and Seth Curry is old af… he also apparently hated his time in Portland for that season, so can probably cross that off.
Feels like Portland isn’t gonna use that MLE this summer. I do wonder a bit if they’re waiting for the 7th.

Blazers are in such a strange spot because they have pretty good talent at all the positions, but no one great. So they don't really have a hole to fill. They aren't good enough that adding a MLE type talent is going to put them in contention. Seems like they are better off just rolling with who they have and see if any of the young guys make a big jump this year. It's boring to say it but even if they get a decent role player, that might move them from 11 to 10th in the west or something. Bleh.

I feel like we use the mle this year unless we have an unbalanced trade in the works
