Nate McMillan on The Herd

Post#1 » by mojomarc » Thu Jan 3, 2008 9:50 pm

Another good listen. Requires ESPN Insider: http://insider.espn.go.com/insider/espnradio/player?context=insider&id=3177415

Key comments from Nate's point of view:

1) Brandon hasn't come close to fulfilling his potential. He's still learning how to adjust to traps, better defenders, etc. He has the potential to be an all-star, and Nate believes he will be one one day.

2) James Jones, with his experience playing with Steve Nash. has been very helpful in improving the basketball IQ of the team. KP's philosophy is to try to pick players from programs that are solid and can instill solid BB IQ. They are very happy with the current group of players, and they believe they are making Portland proud with the team.

3) Colin gave Nate a hard time because he only averaged 5.9 points per game over his career, but Nate tried to claim a 7ppg average :rofl2:
