Why are we winning, according to Wages of Wins

Hint: we're not winning because of the play of a certain two-time Player of the Week. The money quote (the whole thing is worth a read):

The Blazers are led in Wins Produced by Brandon Roy. But last year

I never really get where this guy is coming from. I have a MA in Econ so I am no slouch when it comes to math, but what I basically got was something that I already knew from watching the team play without having to do the analysis. The Blazers have been winning because they are a deep team. Or has he puts it our best three players in terms of wins produced (Roy, Blake and Pryz) are responsible for 54%, while the average is 80%.

You don't need this kind of superflurous quantitative analysis when common sense will tell you.

breaker91, I can just imagine your avatar doing advanced calculus and "superfluous quantitative statistical analysis". He looks so deep in thought...

Good observation, it was youpi, the Montreal Expos mascot, who invented money ball not Billy Beane.
