yeah, it pretty bad how often national media confuses travis with other outlaws.

or spells LaMarcus wrong

we think the blazers should use the ignorance in an advertising campaign out here...could be pretty funny

It's been that way for awhile now. You'll enjoy this tidbit that ESPN's truehoop blog got from John Canzano of the Oregonian

The Oregonian's John Canzano feeds the convictions of those Portlanders convinced they are victimized in the national media because everyone doesn't always get their names right (even though the team is nearly impossible to watch on TV thanks to a cable squabble, and these players have only mattered on the national scene for a couple dozen games). He has a good story, though, abut Travis Outlaw: "Outlaw, for one, explained that a female fan in a visiting arena walked up to him after a game this season, held out a program and a pen for his autograph and said, 'You're my favorite player, Charles.' 'Who's Charles?' Outlaw said. 'You.' 'My name's Travis.' 'Well, you're my favorite player, Travis.'"

Thats ok, once the 3xP fixes the holes in
this team & the Blazers REALLY start getting
the wins, the east media will HAVE to get the
facts right.. .atleast one would think so, lol.. .

That's still up there? I thought maybe they'd figure it out after the Carney dunk. I wonder if it's turned into an internal joke at ESPN and that's why they don't change it.

It's changed on both ESPN and Yahoo player pages for Travis .. guess they finally got around to it

Speaking of Travis .. was looking over his stats and he is quietly becoming a decent 3pt shooter this season. Not many attempts but decent enough percentage.

Part of that is that nearly a quarter of his makes in the entire season have come during the last five games, and he's been on a hot streak in general in January. Let's see how long it lasts before we say he's becoming decent instead of just seeing a bigger hoop for a few weeks.
