Seriously? Nightmares?
You've got to be kidding me.
Sure, it wasn't a great thing to trade Jones less than a season after he gave up a year on his contract to get traded here. But it's not like we sent him to work in the Gulags. He's still making over two million a year to play basketball.

I agree. He clearly wanted to be in Portland and the Blazers traded him away. That said, he probably had the least value of anyone on our roster at the time and James Jones is definitely better than Fred Jones so I feel confident in the outcome of giving him up.

Sexually harassed woman: "Hello, this is the office of the New York Knicks."
KP: Kevin Pritchard for Isiah Thomas
Isiah: KP, didn't I tell you to never call me again? I'm getting killed in the Post over the Zach trade.
KP: Trust me, deep inside, the kid loves to play defense.
Isiah: If you say so. What can I do for you?
KP: Miles, Darius Miles. He's back and ready to be a superstar in this league.
Isiah: Not again, you can't do this to me.
KP: Seriously, I personally saw him almost dunk in practice yesterday.
Isiah: REALLY? He's got his hops back?
KP: Most definitely. How about Miles for that crackpot David Lee?
Isiah: I'm in. Let's do lunch next time you're here. You mind paying? I'm about $11 million short right now.
KP: My pleasure.

+1. On top of that, it's not like Portland would have gotten rid of him if he could have hit a bucket to save his life. If he had played at all well when he was in Portland, he'd still be a Blazer. Unfortunately for him he didn't play at all well, and I would say he's lucky to still be in the league at all at this point.
