Well since no one has made a game thread.. .
Heres a crappy one!! Woohoo!!

Blazers vs Hornets - 5:00pm PST on KGW

This game is going to be very tough for the Blazers
to win. The Hornets are on a 5 game winning streak,
however they have lost 7 at home so theres a chance
that the Blazers can pull one out. The Hornets have a
little trouble rebounding like the Blazers so that might
not come into play. I think whoever reaches or gets
close to 100 points should win the game. They score
a little bit more then the Blazers & they hold the other
teams to a lower score. Its going to be a good game!!

Keys to win for the Blazers.
*Holding the Hornets to a low amount of 2nd chance points.
*GET TO THE LINE!!
*Keep down the turnovers.
*Blazers need two guys scoring around 22 points.

I'll take a order of 4 & 3 on the road to go please.. .

This game makes it a winning road trip or a losing one...Lets put the Hornets down like we already have twice this season...Then back to P-Town for some good home cooking.....

I really think LMA is going to step up tonight. I know NO has Chandler and a tough front line, but I think he's going to hit some early shots and clear up the middle for Roy to drive. Just a hunch.

Last time both teams played each other it got a little personal and rough with the big men. There's gonna be some fighting down low tonight.

Enforcers: Pryzbilla vs Chandler

Which guy will step up and give his team the physical advantage inside? That may come down to which one can stay out of foul trouble. OR it may come down to McMillian getting delusional and not playing Pryz very much (which he has done way too often this season). Chandler is a watch the language and don't try to bypass the language filter whiner and I hope Pryz elbows him upside his dome!

Starting PFs: LMA vs David West

Simply put, which starting PF can score at a more efficient rate? Part B would be which one can rebound and keep the other off the glass....

(Super)stars: B.Roy vs CP3

Both players are great, so which one will do more small things to help his team win (steals, lock down D, creating easy baskets, hitting big shots ect ect)

Bench: White team vs N.O. 2nd Unit

Can Portland's bench continue to outscore the oppositions bench?

Sharpshooters: Webster & Jones vs Peja

Ahhh.. who will make more 3's (and shoot a better %)

It should be interesting. The Blazers have dominated the Hornets in recent history but I don't think this will be an easy game by any means. This game will be decided on in the frontcourt IMO. If Chandler and West kill us, there's no way that we can win this one but if Joel and LA can hold their ground, it makes winning A LOT more realistic.

Unfortunately, I think tired legs are going into meet fresh legs carrying a five game win streak. I would actually be surprised if we don't find ourselves down by 20 points at least once in this game.

i think that what the bench can produce will have a big part in the outcome of the game.

there are 2 things that could be trouble for the blazers:
- rebounding: chandler and west are way more consistent rebounders than aldrdige and joel.
- paul: he can score and make his teammates score, so blake, roy, jack, sergio, whoever should pay close attention.
- the hornet's shooters: peja, peterson and pargo could burn the blazers from the 3pt mark, so no open shots for this guys.

what must the blazers do to win:
- consistent play from the starters, that means roy and aldridge scoring big time.
- bench: outlaw, jones, jack and frye have to keep the blazers afloat.

i predict an OT win by 3 pts.

So he can't give his own realistic assesment for what he thinks could possibly happen? Everyone needs to be a blind homer to be considered a fan? Gimme a break. Our guys are tired, and could be looking forward to getting home. Doesn't make him a Laker fan.

Hey! Just because I don't think we're going to be able to hang with the Hornets doesn't mean that you have to call me names!

Heh--I was going to write essentially the same thing. The sad thing is I probably went to my first Blazers game before he was born.

This is going to be a real tough game. NO has a lot of confidence and the Blazers have a lot of fatigue.

The goods news is that Aldridge has a habit of following up bad games with good games. I look for him to be aggressive tonight.

But it has become all too clear this season that we live and die by our shooters. If Webster, Jones, and Blake aren't hitting, we lose.

I am so pumped about this game. I think Paul will bring out a more dominant from Brandon Roy. Our defense is really going to be tested as NO has such a balanced starting five. The only way they really could improve is with low post scoring. West is more of an Aldridge than a banger that'll take it to the hole, though he's improved on that this season. Huge mid-season game.

Nope--the Sixers. We won, 140-104. Funny how 140 points didn't used to be so terribly exceptional a score in the NBA.
