Post#1 » by roy7 » Fri Jan 25, 2008 12:49 am

kenny the jet smith, charles barkley, and magic johnson all voted for roy to make allstar reserves over baron davis. charles said that "brandon roy is a absolute stud" and deserves to be there

we can only hope the coaches vote the same to get roy in there

Brandon would definitely deserve it. He's rapidly earning a reputation as one of the best all-around players in the league, and while he is rarely flashy he's so good at making others around him look good that I think he'll still make a great show.

The all-star game should be an avenue to reward the NBA's winners. Brandon Roy has taken a team that was supposed to be losers on his back and made winners out of them. The purpose of the all-star game is to reward Brandon Roy and others like him.

It would be nice if that were the case.

I actually like what van gundy said during a game not too long ago. He said that they should make it a rule that to make the all star team your team must be at least .500. If you cant lead your team to 50% wins, then youre not an all star. This is obviously not an argument for Roy/Davis, but I think its a great idea. NBA would never allow it though, since one of its best advertisements is currently on the worst team in the NBA

Hopefully Roy gets in this. It could serve as a great boost to really keep him going for the second half of the season. The stretch run is going to be tough in April. Luckily we have a pretty favorable March

I think it was just their opinion picks, nothing that actually carries weight.

I think there's room for both Baron and Roy. I think the roster looks like this:

Guards: Nash, Chris Paul
Forwards: Boozer, Dirk
Center: Amare
Bench: Roy, Davis

I guess it's a lot of guards, but that lineup can be chosen. The shunned guys to me, don't seem to be worthier than Roy and Davis. Mainly Marion, Ginobli, Parker and Stephen Jackson

No. Steve Nash will get tghe spot over both Roy and Davis. The reserve spot will be either Roy, Davis or Manu. Most likely Roy since Paul, Nash and Iverson are all point guards and the All-Star team won't have 4 point guard taking up 1/3 of the roster.
