I'm suprised there isn't a thread for this, the game's on in less than 4 hours! We have beat Atlanta in 11 of the last 12 matchups! That's impressive. Let's make it 12 out of 13!
MATCHUPS
Anthony Johnson vs Steve Blake
Joe Johnson vs Brandon Roy
Marvin Williams vs Martel Webster

Josh Smith vs Lamarcus Aldridge
Al Horford vs Joel Pryzbilla

The X-factor will be Martell Webster. Marvin just went off in his last game and will use that confidence going into this game. Joe Johnson will get his and Al Horford will bang, but Marvin can get to the free throw line. A day and a half of rest should be enough for Portland.

I love day games. I am about to head out for this one. I dont see any reason why we shouldnt win this one. At this point this should be an easy victory. So that means it will probably go double overtime. Travis Outlaw baby!!!!

I really like that picture of Martell. He looks like an assasin with the ball there!

The chat will probably still be down for this game. I have obtained a new host which, so far, appears to be much better. So I am hoping to work out the kinks and transfer the website by the time our game against Cleveland on Tues rolls around.

an important game for portland if they want to keep pace with Denver and Utah.
They need to shoot better the 40%, that's for sure

Good luck today, guys. Last week was a great game and we should be out for revenge. But we are not a good road game so I think your boys will win.

The Blazers need this win badly.. .
Key for the Blazers to win.
*Let Joe score & shut down the other Hawks.
Home winning streak anyone??

The Hawks will definitely come looking for vengeance but the Blazers have the advantage being at their home court. Atl-Por games are usually pretty close so it should be a tough one but I can see the Blazers winning this one as long as they don't go cold like they did against Houston.

I'm going to call a big game for Aldridge today. let's say 25 points, 12 boards, 3 blocks.

This is an ugly game so far for us. The offense looks incredibly stagnant.
The Blazers better pick it up soon, or this is going to turn into a blowout really fast.

This is the problem with relying on the jump shot and not having a solid post presence
