I would love that, and can't imagine the injury holding it up, as I would think, depending on what we were giving up, we would just kind of waive the physical. What I can't see is why NJ wouldn't prefer him to Stackhouse. That's pretty bad for NJ. I wonder if we would have to take on a bad contract for that to happen. I would be fine with that, since getting Harris would hurt a lot of our cap space anyways. I mean, as long as Paul doesn't mind. Man, now the next three weeks or so leading up to the deadline are going to go by painstakingly slow. Unless eh is moved before that. I think as long as I am not told to hang on to my shorts, I should be ok.
EDIT:
So just rough idea, with picks or something moved maybe, I dunno
Portland outgoing: Pryzbilla, Sergio, Webster
Portland Incoming: Devin Harris, Erick Dampier
Maybe too much to give up for mainly Harris, but am just playing around, so forgive me.
NJ outgoing: Kidd
NJ Incoming: Stackhouse, Webster, Sergio, Raef.
They don't get expirings, but even if they are to, are they going to get under the cap this offseason, with Carter and Jefferson. Webster is a good prospect for them, and I feel like I read somewhere they weren't sold on Williams being their PG of the future, so maybe they woudl like Sergio?
Dallas outgoing: Stackhouse, Dampier, Harris
Dallas incoming: Pryzbilla, Kidd.
They get Kidd. They also save money on Dampier to Pryzbilla, getting someone with the same length of contract, but save 18 million over the life of the deal. I know Cuban isn't pressed for cash, but Pryzbilla is also younger by 4 years.
I don't know how much I like it for Portland. I like Harris, an he could definitely be our PG of the future, but anyways, just throwing out an example.
