I saw Randy Foye played in his first game of the season tonight. In honor of that I thought I'd post a link to an article that had us all in stitches last summer.

Randy Foye or Brandon Roy?

In all seriousness I'm glad he's back. T-Wolves have been playing better lately and I'm interested in seeing how he develops as a PG since that was Minnesota's argument on why Foye>Roy for their team.

I like Foye, I think he would look good next to Roy in our back court.

Any fan other than a T-Wolves fan would realize that Roy is the better fit for ANY team in the league. I don't care what a team needs, I'm confident in saying that Roy would help out any team in the NBA more than foye would- Including minnesota. lol.

That article was funny back then, and it's even more so in hindsight.

That said, it is nice to see him back on the court.

There ain't nothing better than an assertion like "sure, Roy was more productive per minutes, but look at what Foye did in the only five games where he played big minutes! Also, is there any doubt that his PER would have improved if he had played 1500 more minutes???"

I particularly like that last bit of logic. If it's true, then holy crap--we need to play McRoberts more. After all, he has the fourth highest PER48 points/assists/rebounds in the league. If only he played more, surely he would improve on that 41.34 he has. Heck, with 1500 more minutes, I'm sure he could be averaging 30/20/5 easily! Once again--holy crap!!!!



I think we all know Foye's going to be a good, productive player in the NBA. But looking back this is such a clear piece of homerism it is hilarious.

The funny thing about that is that Roy's per 48 was acutally better than Foye's. Roy's such a better player it's not even funny.

i just dont see foye developing into anything more than a backup point guard with a shooting guards mentality. hopefully im wrong cuz i enjoyed watching him play at villanova with lowry, they were a money backcourt.
