The Sophomore team is ridiculous. Roy and Gay with Aldridge down low? Yes please.

I hope we do not see Roy playing in Rookie - Soph game cause if thats the case then he did not make the Main Game. However Gratz to LA will be fun to see him take part in that weekends event.

The article says if a rookie or sophomore is picked for the main game, then they will have to play both. That sucks, if Roy is an All Star, he has to play both nights? I know they aren't strenuous games or anything, but it's still running around. Would prefer him getting rest over the weekend, not working more than anyone.

I agree, I'd much prefer he only play in one (obviously the main one).
I think D Williams last year came incredibly close to having to play in both, but was surprisingly not picked for the main game. I don't remember if anyone else has come that close yet (or actually had to do both).

Anyone else think that Sergio would be ideal in this kind of setting? I honestly think he would have a better game than Farmar.

Farmar is currently a much much much better player than Sergio. In almost every aspect of the game.

Not a big surprise but it's definitely nice to see. Roy and LA definitely deserve to be there over some of the other players selected.

Sergio's style would fit very well in this fast paced dunk fest. I don't think he deserved to make the team, but he would have been a lot of fun if he had.
Of course congrats to Roy and Aldridge, they clearly deserved to make the team.
I do wish Roy didn't have to play in both (if he makes the main game) but as long as he's going to go down there to play instead of resting I don't think it makes too much difference that he has to play one more game. I don't get the feeling that players take the weekend all that seriously...

Lol, yeah no way did I mean to imply that Sergio actually deserves to be there. But like SoHo mentioned, his style of up-tempo spectacular pass basket ball would be perfect for this kind of game.

Imagine if Oden were playing. It would be a Blazer showcase with
LA and Roy for the Sophs and Oden for the Frosh.

If Roy gets to play in both I will not be unhappy at all. It's AllStar Weekend! The games are not grueling by any stretch of the imagination and players usually get short stints with frequent rotations in and out. I say let him have at it!

Yuck, I really hope that Roy doesn't have to play in the rookie/soph game. He looked disinterested when he was a rookie, no way he gets up for that game. Maybe he play 5 minutes as a starter, then watches from the bench the rest of the game.

The only one I know about is Lebron, who was a starter for both games in his sophomore year in 2005.
