Kidd to NY? why not Miles as well? :)

There's a rumor that Isiah is offering Curry and Balkman for Kidd...I think it's a solid package that we could help to enhance by adding Jack, since Isiah would be reluctant to add Nate to the deal as well. Here's my proposal:
http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic. ... 5#15311595

To sum up our part in it, we trade Raef, Miles and Jack for Marbury, Magloire and Mardy Collins. What's my reasoning? that maybe for the sake of the capspace plan, Allen would be willing to buy out Marbury as well, this way we'll not only get capspace in 2009, but also clear 2 roster spots in the summer, cause Magloire is expiring. In the meantime he could help our rebounding woes. And Collins is a young combo guard who's not as explosive as Jack on offense, but he's a good defneder and team player. But assuming he wouldn't do well enough to promise himself a place in our plans for the future, and we'll get Rudy to sign here in the summer, we'll renounce his rights and he'll become UFA in summer 2009.

Do you really think theres ANY way that Kidd reports to New York though? Im pretty sure Kidd would have his agent call Isiah and say thanks but no thanks, im not going to play for that train wreck, so dont waste your time trading for me

It doesn''t help our cap space, all it does is help clear the roster and why give up an asset just to dump Miles

no chance

I am in no way supporting this deal, but it would help the Blazers cap space dramatically.

By packaging Miles and Jack, the Blazers clear up an additional $11 million dollars.

With all due respect, I don't see losing Jack as much of a problem for the Blazers. If they could get rid of miles in this package, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
