Greg Oden
20 years old, 1/22/1988
Rumored to be 290 lbs from 250.
Hype circled rivals the likes of Shaq and TD.
Turned heads in Orlando camp...strength, speed, and handling.
Injury erases hype like Oxyclean on a stain.

Andrew Bynum
20 years old, 10/27/1987
285 lbs but will probably grow into 300 lbs.
L.A. biased hype (gold covered poo)
Averages a double-double after 2 seasons.
Veteran supporting cast

Okay, so I was having a conversation with a guy in my class (psu) and we had a short debate (see title). My argument was that Oden was going to surpass Bynum pretty rapidly on the Offensive end and that defensively, there will never be any competition. The other guy claimed that Oden's offense simply doesn't exist. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here!

What are your thoughts? I'm not asking if Oden has an upper hand in this match-up. I'm mainly asking how much of an upper hand?

I think that Oden, Howard and Bynum are going to be the premier centers of the early 21st century.

I would compare the trio to the three greats of the early 90's. Note that the players I am lining each up with doesnt exactly represent playing similarities, but rather overall talent level...

Oden is Hakeem

Howard is Robinson

Bynum is Ewing

Don't take offense to this, but I'm gonna lock the thread up. This is just gonna do nothing but invite Laker trolls to bash Oden.
