Diener looks like a mix between Michael J. Fox in his Teen Wolf days and Wolverine.
Here's to a bounce back win.

Is it just me, or does it feel like every time we go to Canseco we walk away with a 25 point dinger on the backs of our heads? I thought this year was finally going to be different...

Hopefully Sergio doesnt play and Green gets some burn.. Nate seemed high on him in the preseason, so maybe this will be his shot. doubt it, but anythings better than Sergio..
Also would love it if joel got demoted to like 10 minutes per game and McRoberts got some more minutes. Hell give Raef the minutes, but Joel's a scrub

Uh, okay. Care to explain? I agree that I'd like to see McRob and Raef more, but it is in no way because of Joel.

That's not true (my first bolded statement from your message). Sergio has shown some very nice signs but it's consistency that's needed more than anything. If he can 1) develop a jumpshot and 2) get more consistent playing time, he'd be able to provide a lot more for this team but he's definitely provided the opportunity to go to a run-and-gun style offense while he's been in the lineup.
On Joel, he is the only defensive post force that we have. Taking him out of the game allows teams to score like crazy in the post as the Blazers have no inside presence with him out of the game. If you don't believe me, as our opponents because I'll bet you a million dollars that 9 times out of 10 they'd prefer for Joel to be out of the game.

Check it out, Roy's the 3rd best shooting guard in the league according to CBS's rankings:

Haha, awesome!!

I hope Sergio plays a lot. He gets to the rim almost
anytime he wants to.. .he just has to finish now, lol!!
But many times he'll pass it out to the open guy.. .

Key for the Blazers to win vs the Pacers.

Even with Roy out, I think we can get a win against the Pacers. Jack is my key to the game. He needs to remember though that he is a SG this game. He should be able to drive past Dunleavy or Diener at will and get to the hoop.

so roy will miss the entire road trip?
i think the blazers can and should win this game. getting some wins on the road helps for morale and obviously for the record.
it's really funny to see that pacers lineup.

This is the type of game that we need to have Sergio play more minutes in. His penetration will open up shots for Aldridge and Outlaw. I do not think Murphy can keep up with our PF's.
Would also like ot see McRoberts get more minutes, but definitely not at Przybillas expense. It is my belief that the lack of minutes received by Przybilla this year has directly corresponded to a couple losses that could of / should of been wins. Would like to see McRoberts take some of Fryes minutes since Fryes style of play is kind of redundant in that he is just Aldridge light.

Sergio's jumpshot is pathetic, and his defense is even moreso. Unless he gets better at both, he will be back in Spain within a couple years. He cant finish at the rim, he might as well granny shot 3 pointers, he also has a tendency to turn the ball over (OMG NOOOO!!!) and did I mention that his defense is awful? I'd rather see a guy who can D up AND find the open man get some minutes (Green). Young players who arent that good, dont get consistent minutes. Its that simple, so stop saying that Sergio needs consistent minutes. Throw in your Jack jabs here, but he creates his own shots, takes contact, and finishes at the rim. When he feels he needs to take over the team and put everyone on his back, he falls apart (Detroit), but if you honestly think Sergio is better than Jack, youre wrong. Now im not trying to talk about Jack, Ive already discussed him to no end and Ive ended that conversation for good in the last thread that we talked about him, where I almost agreed with Mr. Odd in regards to Jack. Go back and look at Outlaws minutes when he was younger. He didnt get consistent minutes, but hes done alright. I know someones going to throw out the "Outlaws turning out fine, so can Sergio". That could happen, but he would have to become a totally different player and I seriously doubt that happens. It's pretty simple. Sergio is not good. Take off the nice pass blinders and see him for what he is. If you think hes the future PG of the Blazers, you are sorely mistaken.. Get Green some minutes
Joel is no more of a defensive post presence than Frye or Aldridge. I wouldnt take you up on that bet only because every opponent is probably sick of his flopping (he fell to the ground last night against Rip I think. Man up and stop him, dont fall to the ground, the guy weighs like 180lbs). As I said before, his weakside help is the only real positive that he has over a guy like Frye. He flops and gets some nice blocks, but his post moves make babies cry, and his rebounding is overrated.

If you've actually been paying attention recently Sergio's defense is greatly improved. People are only as good as their last game on this forum.
Look at the effect on opponent FG% that joel has when he's on the floor. It's not a small upgrade over Frye/Aldridge, it's fairly significant.

Sergio really needs to learn how to finish or get a jumpshot, he has neither currently and basically mean the opposing team can just sag off on him.
