Nuggets Interested In Zach Randolph?
February 15, 2008 - 6:31 am
New York Post -
According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks and Nuggets may be discussing a multi player deal involving Zach Randolph.
According to the report, the players discussed in a potential deal included Linas Kleiza, Eduardo Najera, Steven Hunter and J.R. Smith for Randolph and another Knick.
Dammit! I dont wanna see this guy 4 times a year!

if the Nuggets give up both Kleiza and Najera in a package for Randolph. they deserve the tailspin they will get.
Adding JR Smith to the Knicks would be fitting though.

I would probably pay money to watch that soap op.. I mean team play.
Seriously, there were questions about sharing the ball when AI came aboard with Anthony. Now you want to add Zach Randolph to that mix? I'd love to be a fly on the wall for those internal discussions. "Yeah, we just think that he was in two bad situations in a row. If he comes here he'll be thrilled and will sacrifice to win. Touches? Shots? He doesn't care about such things."

Exactly.
I can't stand the Nuggets, so I am really hoping this trade happens.

I don't see the Nuggets doing the proposed deal. An expiring in the form of Najera and 3 good young players seems to good to be true for the Knicks. A Nene or K-Mart swap seems much more realistic. Their salaries are all pretty close and each seems like a good fit next to Curry.
For the Nuggs, do they really need a third player he needs the ball to be effective? It seems like Nene or K-Mart if healthy are a much better fit for their roster.

I'll be praying for this trade for it will ensure the destruction of the Denver Nuggets.

^This isn't the Knicks model. It is Whitsett 2.0. Don't forget their GM is Bob's protege on building a team with talent at the expense of chemistry.

Zach to Denver could be our best shot to get into the playoffs this year.
Who knows, once Thomas gets rid of Zach he could be more inclined to trade for Miles with Malik Rose. That should have part of the Zach trade to begin with.

This deal might actually kill George Karl. He was having a fit when the Nuggets were considering trading Najera for Artest, now they're going to give up Najera, Klezia, Smith, Hunter and another player for Randolph?!?! Seriously, get that man an on-call doctor 24/7!

QFT. Talent over chemistry.

I would love to see Zach get out of that Knick hellhole and on a good team. I think he would do very well with the Nuggets but don

I really like this trade from the Knicks standpoint. This is actually more value than the Blazers got for him so if you want to talk about getting value out of Randolph, this is a close as it gets. From the nuggets' standpoint, this deal is terrible. They lock themselves in the luxury tax for many years and Z-Bo isn't really worth it. That said, Zach would make it very hard to defend the Nuggets and if he would accept his role, could make Denver's offense one of the scariest in the NBA.

Yes, I am serious.
Iverson, Melo & Zach.
Yes theres only one ball but if they know
they can make the playoffs theyre going
to share. Nuggets will now have three guys
who can go off & score 35+ plus you toss
Zach in with Camby, you got two guys who
can grab a lot of rebounds.. .

AI and Melo don't need to share the ball with Zach. If Zach wants the ball, he can go to the glass and get it.

I just did a lookup on the web and I think Zach would be very happy in Denver--they have a strip club with a free lunch buffet from 11-3 every day.
