Sometimes, Things Don't Pass the Laugh Test

In the highly entertaining debacle that is the Kidd to Dallas trade and the attempts to salvage it, something that has actually been written in several places is so patently idiotic, it deserves mention:

there are reports that keith van horn could be signed to a 1 year contract (3 years but only 1 guaranteed) in order to make up for George's absence from the trade and even Stackhouse's because of his foolish yapping.

so here's what's absurd that has been "reported":

And it has not yet been confirmed if Van Horn would be willing to physically report to New Jersey, which league sources say is a must if he's part of the deal.

He won't fly to new jersey for a paycheck of anywhere from 2 million to 8 million dollars??!!??...are you out of your flippin mind??

I'd fly to NJ for 2 thousand (maybe), but for 2 million I'd crawl there...wearing stupid hats and a diaper.

did van horn retire and become warren buffet?

I know he was traded from the Nets, but c'mon...so what!

does anybody proof-read these articles for abject stupidity?
