didn't we acquire him as a big man that can shoot the three spread the floor?
But I don't remeber one time where he has made an attempt?
what do u think is going to happen to him?

We aquired him to get Brandon Roy from Boston. We gave them Ratliff's contract in exchange for Lafrentz's, with Ratliff's being slightly better.
What's going to happen is his contract will come off the books in 2009 or he will be packaged in a trade.

Exactly. Mike Barret may have sugar coated Raef when we acquired him but he was really just taken on to get Brandon Roy. Raef wasn't really expected to take on much of a role when he was acquired, he's just playing up to what was expected of him which is essentially nothing.

taking his contract was just the price of getting the pick thatultimately landed us Roy. he was never brought here to contribute anything

As much as I think Raef is a stiff, I believe we should give him a few opportunities to play. If we are going to use him as bait as an expiring, we should at least show he will have some limited value during his last year.

The best thing about LaFrentz is he sits on the bench and doesn't give Nate any trouble. He also has kept himself ready to play in the rare event he is called upon.

Exactly. Excluding the high salary, he is a perfect 12th man.
