It seems a UCLA player is in our future

KP was scouting at the UCLA-Oregon game. Please be going after Collison KP! Of course he could have been looking at Bryce Tyler or Hairston with all those 2nd round picks, and then there's Love...

Kevin Love's skill set on this team would be outstanding. The problem is, you can only put five guys on the floor and we're in the market for starters at two positions, neither of which is PF.
That being said, I am a Roy Hibbert fan and hope the Blazers would take him, so while I caution a rush to judgment (while not heeding my own advice), I really do believe Pritchard is keeping his mind open to all positions.
Between USC, UCLA and Oregon, there are at least a half-dozen draft prospects that are likely to be taken on draft day.

I'm still not convinced he'll translate well to the NBA. And that opinion has nothing to do with my undying hatred for Love, which is another reason I don't want him.

I agree completely, but PNF loves his big men. He's been talking about Hibbert for two years now. Hibbert's upside seems somewhere between where Andrew Bogut is now and Jerome James. None of this screams "lotto pick" to me.

1. Bogut is a good player and I think he has some room to mature. He's a likely candidate to average a double-double at some point in his career.
2. You forgot the Rules To Reading PNF's Posts:
(1) Read the post.
(2) Nod head politely.
(3) Calmly put PNF on ignore while calling him a silly little kid.

Careful of players that make their rep in a short amount of time.
Thats not to say Westbrook isnt or wont be the real deal.. .
Its just that he kind of falls into the drafting a player off
of his play in March. We all have seen what that can do.

I concur.
He really seems like the prefect complement to Roy. Good ball handler, good shooter, ok passer, tough player, GREAT finisher and a great defender.
From all I've heard about him he seems like the kind of guy that KP would really want on this team.
But much like all the pipe-dreams we come up with he seems out of reach. His stock rises every day. Sure, there's hope that we go into the tank and might be able to move past Sacramento, Pheonix (from Atlanta), Chicago, Indiana, Milwaukee, etc. to get up high enough to draft him.
I am not optimistic. This is the time of year when crappy teams recognize their crappyness and become down right dreadful. Maybe with the East being so tight those teams will try their best to make the playoffs instead of giving up. But that's just too much for me to hope for.

Well, if Westbrooks stock rises that just
means other good players move down.
Again, not saying Westbrook wont be
a good NBA player, just saying that
it makes the draft that much deeper
which is great news for Pritchard. He
can use that to his advantage if he
decides to trade the draft pick.. .

Quite correct PNF. And of those six, I do believe there is an interest in one of them more than the other five.![]()
Care to speculate which one? Westbrook is the darkhorse IMO, Mayo the really interesting one if he drops as he has so far, collison the plain vanilla one.

That's why I'm really liking this draft for the Blazers. There are so many players in it that can help Portland, that at least 1 of them should be within Pritchard's grasp on Draft Night.
Yep and lots and lots of PF's or combo guards. Lawson and Augustin are also very inteersting prospects and would likely be available without moving up, just depends what KP and team see that they really like

There are also some intriguing SF's. Gallinari, Batum, Greene, Randolph, etc...

Waverider...for now, I'll just go with there are around 3 players they like that they think they might be able to get. I'm being as vague as possible....
