That's got to be a franchise low for them... Or at the very least, tying a franchise low.

Honestly though, I don't know what's more embarrassing, the fact that the Spurs only scored 5 in the first or the fact that the Hawks only have a 5 point lead in the 2nd quarter.

The Hawks have beaten the Spurs each of the past three years IIRC and I don't think anyone has any idea why.

Make no mistake, this is pretty funny. But the Spurs might still win this game.

The spurs have the lead by five right now. Wow, the hawks suck so badly that the Spurs can still win even with the franchise low scoring in their first quarter (at least I think it's a franchise low).

I don't know if we're in a position to talk though because we might just score 5 in a quarter with no Roy. :banghead:

EDIT: It looks like the tides have turned and now Atlanta is struggling to hit air in the third quarter.

Bibby has been a pretty big flop in Atlanta so far. I didn't think he'd make a HUGE impact, but it's been surprising how much of a non-factor he's been for them.

What's more embarrassing is that it looks like the Hawks will lose the game.

How did the hawks lose this one? The were in a perfect position to pull out a W and they found a way to lose. I guess the Spurs are stiff competition but a loss like this is inexcusable not matter what competition a team is facing. I definitely give the Spurs a lot of credit for not laying down and quitting after the first quarter though and definitely feel that their team has always had a lot of heart (hence the reason that they have 4 titles).

That's because he can't even walk straight, he's on a hobbled heel, but we don't have a choice but to play him because Law is injured and we have no other PGs. That being said, he still had 18 points and 9 assists 2 games ago, and 17 and 7 assists in the game before that. Not to mention his left thumb is taped to his left index finger until his thumb injury is fully healed, that's tough to play with when you add that he can't even walk straight with his heel.

And we had pretty much conceded that road trip as a failure anyway, it was one of the toughest road trips of the season playing the Spurs, GS, Lakers, and Utah. Not exactly easy.

And about the Spurs loss, we ourselves only scored 17 points in the 1st quarter, so we only had a 12 point lead, it's not like we were killing them. Yes, our offense sucked and we couldn't hit anything, and having Woodson as a coach never does anything to help it.

Fair enough. I knew he had been having some injury problems, but I didn't realize it was that severe.

5pts... oh my... thats really low for any team... what's the all-time low?

All-time low, Mamba, is 2 points, and it's happened a couple of times. Five is a franchise record low.

But, lest we forget, they still won. And it wasn't that close either.
