Ultimate Game Thread: Portland vs New York City - 4:30pm

Post#1 » by Klinky » Sat Mar 8, 2008 9:02 pm

Alright guys, we've got to get another win. This is certainly a winnable game what with Isaiah Thomas & sidekick Z-Bo the Cupinator hanging around. Hopefully we can get lots of ball hogging & not a lot of offense on the NYC side.

4:30pm, I'll be in the chat :D

No Z-Bo tonight. He is back in Indiana so the Knicks will have a front line of Lee and Curry. We don't have any rebounder who can stick with Lee and Curry has the potential to get Pryz in foul trouble and destroy us. I only hope he isn't motivated after playing 40 minutes against the Pistons last night.

I think the Blazers can take this game, but they have to go at them on the offensive end. Despite his rep as a high energy guy, Lee isn't that much of defender so we need LMA to be aggressive and Roy, Webs and even Blake to attack the basket.

This would be an embarrassing lost, but I remember how lucky Portland was to beat NY last time they played. NY will be better tonight because they are at home and ZBo is gone. Also look for Crawford to play out of his mind.

I get a loss vibe.

No Zbo will probably make this game tougher for Portland. A lot easier to guard one guy as opposed to 5.

NY should definitely play better without Z-Bo but Portland should still win this game. If portland can play with some heart (which they have had trouble doing on the road in the past), they should be able to win.

Lets hope Blake is aggressive again for todays game.
The Blazers do so much better when Roy has guard help.

Travis had a off game, look for him to do well this game.

Nice!! Im just at the point where I want this season to be over so that the draft can happen (always seems to be the most fun part of the year lately, especially with KP) and the REAL start of a new era can begin

But GO BLAZERS!! Roy goes for 23 8 and 7

I know what you mean!! lol

I hate our draft spot tho at #13, that
will be tough for Pritchard to work with.

I mean unless the Blazers win a ton in
a row they wont make the playoffs and
theyll get a crappy draft pick.. .

Yeah we're going to be one of those teams in the second row at the draft lottery that nobody cares about.. This draft should show a lot about what KP is made of

Is it just my eyes, or is Aldridge suddenly someone that should be commanding double teams down on the block? I LOVE seeing him down there.

He did in do that.

I can't believe we gave up that huge led we had in the 1st quarter to the Knicks of all teams. Keep Joel in there dammit!
