This is a pretty big game for us, if we win this we have a shot to put together a nice little win streak.

Our next three consist of two games against the Wolves and one against the Kings. Then we get Phoenix at home followed by some less than stellar western conference foes.

With a win at Cleveland we might have the momentum to win most if not all of our games in March. The hardest being Phoenix at home and Golden State on the road.

Go Blazers!

Whether we win or lose it should be a fun game to watch, I just hope it isn't a blowout.

LOL

Mike Rice & Travis I guess joke around a lot with
eachother. Travis not having much luck lately on
the court.. .so Rice after the game put his fist out
to Travis and Travis bumped fists with Rice then
Rice said, "thats the first thing youve hit all
night" and Travis had a big laugh.. .lol

Whoa mama! Aldridge is playing spectacular. It's like the past 3 weeks he's flipped a switch and decided he's going to take everyone into the post. He's reading double teams incredibly well and really setting up the offense quite well. This has to take a tremendous burden off of Roy's shoulders.

I love steve blake, but I think he's allergic from driving to the hoop. Dude needs to take it to the hole rather than pass it in the lane.

Wow Travis is reverting before our eyes.

I don't get it. I give James a lot of credit but I don't get how the Blazers have sucked against the cavs lately. They're mediocre but they're nothing special. If/when they can get james a sidekick, then I'll consider the cavs good. As it stands, Roy, LA, GO >>>>> James + fodder.

I watched this entire game.

We've said it, and I'll say it again Nate McMillan is RESPONSIBLE for this loss. His game plan completely threw our offense to a hault. Why didn't he learn from the success of our last two games and also the 1st quarter?

His substitution patterns turned to **** in the second half giving Jack Blake's minutes, Jack commited 3 or 4 fouls in limited minutes and gave the Cavs free points. Jack turned the ball over twice, and he played below average defense. He passed up open shots that Blake would've taken and probably made.

I can go on and on about Nate's mistakes. Why would you change the gameplan after it was working so well? All because of your fear of LeBron. Wow.

Nate insists on using the shot clock and playing BORING half court basketball. Problem is our team doesn't have any scorers, they SUCK in the half court, this season is 3/4 done and he still can't figure that out. What ever happened to us being a running team? We don't even need to be a running team, just stop keeping the players on such a tight leash. You can tell no one wants to take a open shot becuase of that, and we end up getting shot clock violations.

The Cavs started double teaming LaMarcus and Nate had no other option on offense, it's like the Blazers hit a brick wall, pretty soon Outlaws taking fadeaway 15 footers with 2 on the shot clock.

Agreed, Nate has made a lot of questionable moves late in games. From what I've seen, Nate is an average coach at best and while he might take this team to the playoffs, I fear that he may waste 3-5 years of our players' careers before management realizes that he's not a championship caliber coach. I don't know, maybe I'm judging him too fast but from what I've seen, the Blazers' chances of winning a title with McMillan as the head coach are slim at best.

I agree as well. Nate says and sometimes does a lot of things I like, so I've continued giving him the benefit of the doubt, But this is just getting old. Sometimes I blame the players, sometimes I blame Nate, but I see what the players can do sometimes and it cements in my mind that the problem really is Nate. Teams just re-adjust their gameplan and completely shut us down. I wanna see how Nate does with GO and whoever else is on this team next year, after that I'd like to see us go a different direction.

All of those problems were definitely evident tonight. When Cleveland played in portland, the Blazers played very well but came up short B/C of Lebron James going off, which makes that loss understandable, but Nate's inability to make smart decisions in terms of substitution and playcalling especially down the the stretch tonight was inexcusable. Roy had an off night which may be the main reason for this loss, but it definitely hurts to see our coach kick us in the A#*.

I noticed joel was +9 and played only 22 minutes. I didn't get a chance to listen to the game, but did we go with a "smaller' lineup for big stretches of the 3rd and 4th quarters?

so, did free throws win the game for the cavs?

and again with the nate issue...
