Listening to court side KP said he was at the DC regional. Any thoughts on who he'd be scouting?
Teams Purdue, Baylor, Arizona, Xavier, West Virgina, Duke, Belmont
Bayless,AZ? Not a fan of his
Also a side not on Miles, if the Blazers waive him, does a team wanting to pick him up have to pay his entire salary or can they sign him to a mid-level exception?

If a teams "picks him up" off of waivers within the 48 hour waiver period (providing Miles is waived during the season), then that team assumes the obligation for the balance of his contract. The chance of that happening is about the same as the chance that Sabonis will return to the blazers next season, beat out Oden for the starting job, and average 20 and 10.
After Miles clears waivers, he can sign with any team for any amount all the way down to the veteran's minimum.

I would have to think he was scouting both Bayless and Budinger... perhaps some second round prospects as well. I'm not that familiar with the other teams that were in that region and don't think any of them feature players that will likely declare and be near our pick.
I suppose it makes sense because he knew that Arizona was likely out after this round and it would be his last chance to see those players. I hope he wasn't planning on seeing Mayo in the second round...
I really hope that we learn about all the different places that KP scouts during the tournament, it would certainly help our conjectures about the draft!

There's no way to tell. For all we know he's in DC for two days and then off to another region for two days. Just doing his best to cover as many prospects as he can.
Arizona does seem like a likely target. They're the team with the most NBA prospects that's most likely to get knocked out in the first round.
