Any new Miles news?

I know Miles was scheduled to go to NY to see a league doctor. I thought his appointment was last weekend. I haven't heard anything since then.
Anyone have any inside news?

I am not sure when he was suppose to leave or if he has even left yet. I think it was scheduled "within 10 days" of the article. So he may not even be there yet. I think we'll find out more in a week or so, near the end of the month.

There was really 2 significant pieces of news in the article in question. Obviously, there was the news that Blazers formally applied for Miles's medical retirement. The other significant news was that Miles was excused from all his team obligations. I interpret that as the team has decided regardless what happens with the medical retirement Miles is not going to be included with the team in any way from here on out. Basically, Blazers have decided there is nothing Miles can do for them on the basketball court.

I don't know if he's been flat out banned from the practice facility/gym or not. I'm assuming that being "excused from all his team obligations" means it's just not manditory for him to show up to practice/rehabs anymore.

I might be reading too much into it but my interpretation is the team has made a final decision to move past Darius Miles. If Darius continues to attend team functions, I assume that would trigger a formal banishment.

I also hadn't noticed that before. I was amazed that they didn't make this move earlier but it was probably in hopes of him gaining some value in order to trade him (which seems out of the field of opportunity now). So essentially, it's either a roster spot taken up or money off of our cap. Interesting.

I think the idea is that he doesn't have to show up to anything anymore. So if he feels like it he can move to New York and just hang with the hoops family.
In the last Jason Quick chat he said that we shouldn't expect to hear anything firm until early April. If you've got the latest chat and want to listen to that part it starts at the 10:50 mark and lasts a little more than 2 minutes.

I'm not sure what a gonorrhea stain looks like. I guess it must be hideous.

Given the main symptom is thick, copious pus discharge, I'd say it must indeed be hideous.
