Jerryd Bayless Draft Diary (Part 1-4)

Post#1 » by CB4MiamiHeat » Sat Jun 28, 2008 7:31 am

Check it out : http://www.draftexpress.com/archives/type/all/

This is my favorite player in college, so im interested in how he would do...Maybe its me, but he looks a bit pissed off even after the trade, i know he missed out on a lot of money..but id be happy playing for a contender rather than Memphis or Seattle or something.

He might have looked pissed off by being picked by the Pacers, but that's one helluva suit

there's a podcast on this forum u should listen to.. He said he was frustrated at first cause he thought he was goin to Indiana... But he's very happy to be here.. He was mad about going to Indiana/dropping 7 slots, and was probably still pissed off about loosing out on the money from #4 before realizing he's in the best possible position, in the rookie class, to be a part of a truely unique and special situation... He's excited about it now, and I'm sure he's gonna have a chip on his shoulders about the other 11 teams who passed on him...

Look, it's certainly true that he is losing a ton of money in the short term. The 4 pick makes a little more than TWICE what the 11 pick makes over the full contract. BUT The funny thing is that if he'd been drafted by Seattle he'd have a much harder time getting a big contract from them that he will from Paul Allen. All he has to do is play his game, work hard, develop. He doesn't have to be a superstar with us if he helps us win and sacrifices some aspects of his individual stats, Paul Allen will take care of him.

Nice video's. He seems to be a pretty nice down to earth kid. I have the feeling he'll blend in well with the rest of the team.
