Status Quo Called out Greg Oden/ Artest defends Oden

Post#1 » by Just Justin » Fri Nov 21, 2008 2:48 am

I was reading some articles on truehoop, and apparently Stat Quo (a really whack rapper) called out Greg Oden about the way he dresses, and dissed on Greg saying he is "gay" , something about Oden's swagger, Stat quo said Greg Oden needs to come out of the closet.

So then Ron Artest recorded a video in defense of Greg, and told Stat to get off Greg's nuts, and told Stat to leave the rookie alone, and go ahead and mess with people like Wayne or Jim Jones.

Here is the link to video from true hoop.

Ok, Status Quo is a whack *** rapper, I don't know what the heck hes thinking calling out Greg like that,I am pretty sure Greg will destroy him. And Ron artest is such a nice guy, this is why I love players like him and Stephen Jackson.Having Artest defending oden like this it's pretty nice. And Stat Quo can go ---- - ----. Ron Artest is a real cat.

Yeah I agree, I like both Stephen Jackson and Artest. They are actually really nice guys according to teammates, they back each other up. Also that was really cool of Artest to back up Oden, much respect to him

Ah, I thought this thread was going to be about Artest defending Oden in the Sacremento game, to get away from the "Status quo" of putting your big man on Oden. Just remembered that Artest doesn't even play for Sacramento anymore.

Anyway, I found the video of "Status Quo" on youtube, rapping about Oden. What a dork.

He's just mad that he's been on (or did he get dropped?) Aftermath for a decade and doesn't have 1 album to show for it. He's the Greg Oden (Prior to playing his first game) of the rap game.. Haha..

haha yeah i remember Stat Quo from his illustrious career which was highlighted by having the worst song on the first Fight Night. I wonder if Greg is gonna come to Ron Ron's defense when somebody calls him a wack rapper.

edit: and Ron is right about it being corny to use the word "swag." I cant stand that nonsense. Stat Quo is a swaggot.

Well yeah, Stat Quo is a dumbass, nothing else I can really say about him.. I mean seriously, Oden has done nothing bad at all to anyone. Does some damn charity work for a year, works hard to get strong and recover, and all these nut jobs feel the need to trash talk him for no reason.

wtf is stat quo even talking about? I think it's about greg's clothes.... as in, greg's suits? I dont get it. Does he know that players are required to wear suits if they're not on the active roster? Either way, Artest seems like he's got his head on the right way even if he is a little crazy

Yeah I do have to wonder about that? I didn't listen to the Stat Quo vid, but seriously wtf? All I've seen him is in Suits like every single player in the NBA who's not playing? Like damn.. Seriously, what has Oden done to anyone?

I had and really, still have no clue who Status Quo is. I guess he is obviously a rapper, but this is like my first time ever seeing that name I think.

I mean i don't see how Oden's swagger is "gay". He doesn't dress like lil wayne or jim jones. Oh well, this dude's career is on his way down the drain anyway.
And damn you Sinobas, I clicked on the link :) .

Tsk, tsk, Status Quo needs to learn to cheer for better teams. Shame on him.

yay for artest. I already liked him and this made me a bigger fan. Hes made a couple mistakes but all in all seems like a great person. I've talked to him once and it was a very refreshing conversation.

Funny thing is... Sat Quo should also take the time to call out i dunno people like johnny Depp and Brad Pitt. Guys dress rather high fashion and not hood and seem to have no problem pulling in the ladies. I think somebody is a little bitter than whole gangster style isn't what i twas 10yrs ago haha.

Who the hell is Stat Quo anyway? I don't really follow non west coast rap as most of it sounds like drivel. Snoop and E-40 all the way! Screw Fat Quo!
