According to Ham, Keegan is dealing with some personal issues off the court. Hopefully it's nothing too serious but could explain the way he's been playing.

Barnes on the other hand just looks ultra washed. If Crowder is available, we need to pick him up immediately.
I can't see anyone giving up something of value for washed Barnes. Move him to the bench and pray he can find traction against bench role players.

I don't disagree, I'd hope he can find some kind of groove in a bench role. Ideally we pick up Crowder for something that allows us to keep Barnes in that bench role. Crowder plus pieces for Davion?

Give up Davion on a rookie contract w team control for an expiring Crowder not a good deal for Sac.

The pieces would need to be good for sure, at least a first round pick and then a guy like Torrey Craig or maybe Saric/Payne. Admittedly, I'm also not very high on Davion.

Don't see any need to hold onto him. Rather give his minutes to davis, metu, lyles if this is our only option.

That said we absolutely need to look at a deal with phx. Crowder for Barnes is something I've been championing since before the season.

Murray and sabonis are slow. Huerter gives effort but naturally just isn't a good defender. Fox's defense has been good, we need an elite defender at the 3 spot. Crowder has been that in his career.

Sabonis/Metu
Murray/Lyles
Crowder/davis
Huerter/Monk
Fox/davion

I've never liked Tobias, but even Holmes/Barnes for Tobias sounding real good about now.

No thank you I'm not touching that deal. I'm quite comfortable with the Kings hanging onto Davion for a while.

Mike Brown made a mistake taking Davion out midway thru the 4th. Sure he probably needed a breather but Brown didn't turn back to him quick enough. I really felt like that was a big mistake.

Ya I'm usually not a big davion guy, but huerter was getting abused tonight.

Fox - mitchell - monk - metu

Choose a 5th between sabonis, Davis, lyles would have been my lineup.

May I ask what is it you see that makes you not high on him? I think we should be patient with him. He’s shown to be a plus defender, and offensively he can get to the basket and has shown signs he can be a good shooter. He needs some time getting used to the offense the new staff is trying to implement. And aside from tonight, he has not played much with Fox and Sabonis - not sure if that’s by design or if it’s just how Browns rotations worked out these first few games.

That was a brutal loss...again.

Why didn't Brown just come out with the exact speech he did the other day about the name on the front of the jersey? That is what it's going to take for these crucial calls/non-calls to be made/not made equally. How anyone can look at the Huerter last shot and say it isn't a foul is disturbing.

Anyway, the Kings shouldn't have been in that spot. I think this came down to the coaching staff. Put your finishers in there and tell them to finish. Stop with this playing around with line-ups etc. It's been done to death in Sacramento and it NEVER works, like EVER, with ANY team.

I love what Brown did during the off-season to get the guys to buy in etc, but at some point, you have a rotation and you don't use the season to do that. That's what off season and pre season is for. The Kings have SERIOUS talent, it's up to him to utilize it. This chopping and changing isn't about figuring it out or teaching guys.
I understand someone like Metu has done a few nice things, but he shouldn't play...not until breaks glass in case of an emergency.
TD should have been in the rotation the entire time, but even with his decent play the minutes simply haven't been there. That's NOT line-up driven with someone like TD because he can go with so many positions.

At some point there needs to be questions about why Barnes and Domas, two guys that were great together in a small sample after the trade have been underwhelming so far.
All of them, along with Davion will come good, but at some stage they need repitition, they need a consistent role and you can't blame any of them for inconsistent play.

Just not a big fan of his offensive game. I'm not sold on his shot ever developing to a point where we can rely on him to knock down an open look. His form isn't great and he's never been a great free throw shooter going back to college, even including the one year he shot it well from deep. I don't think he's a great facilitator either but he can get to the basket decently well and can finish at a pretty good rate there.

His defense is obviously good but I just don't see him being able to truly impact the game enough on that end given his size to make up for his average to below average offensive game. It's not necessarily that I'm even super low on him, I just think Fox being the guy should be playing big minutes and if we can move Davion for some value on the wing, I think it's something we should be looking into.

In case anyone wonders, the NBA did admit the blown call against Huerter on the last play of the game. The look of disgust Monk gave the official as he walked by was priceless, though.
