4:03 - this was after the third game. Sounds to me like Brown doesn't think there is anything precluding Fox's play, and that he's going to continue to work with De'aaron to get over the consistency bug boo if there is one. For me, not asking him to play how he did to end the year and to start this year from now on. Thats a bit much. But 6 is a bit much if there isn't something of significance, I think its in him to bring 22/6 on solid efficiency with less plateau
Do you realize basketball is a game of variance and players will go thru hot and cold stretches? Stephen Curry probably the greatest shooter of all time, went thru a stretch last season where he was like 10/50 over the month of January on 3s, and I think 32 or 33% on the month. Look at Huerter right now who couldn’t miss a 3 the first month of the season, now he’s like 4 for his last 33 or something like that. Just feels like you’re making too much of the cold/down stretches these players have.
do you realize its not about efficiency? Fox has struggled with consistency his entire career and IMO it's in his innate makeup something he has to overcome. Even during his quality second year under Joerger, he would have that off energy game here and there.
Morant can have hot and cold shooting, scoring, whatever, but he's going 100%. Same with Curry. I didn't really notice Huerter's shooting because he was playing with the same energy. Fox throughout his career has brought inconsistent energy to the season, game, and when its low it palpably affects the team. He has been great post Hali trade for the most part, but this is still something that needs focus from him and Brown
It's about improving upon that if his recent slump is a part of that and not a two week bug illness that is still keeping him dressing and Brown isn't defending. It's not about numbers, its going to take conscious attention from him, Brown and the team
