Game 36: Kings (16-19) @ Warriors (18-16)

Kings head down the street to San Francisco for a matchup with the Warriors who will be without two of their promising young players, Kuminga and Podz. Kings will be without Fox in this one but Keegan is available.

That's a good start. Good ball movement on offense and the defensive intensity is there. Just keep defending the 3pt line.

That was an impressive fightback after the Warriors got back to withing 7 I think it was.

Sabonis and Monk are balling and the other guys are following their lead.

This is a game we 100% blow the lead by now with Mike Brown. Doug's timeouts are perfect. Rotations are so much better. This team is poised to do something 2nd half of the season.

Some of us knew Mike was trash to start.
Bad rotations
Zero adjustments
Terrible to end games
Bad timeout management

He did nothing above average for a coach

Yep. Absolutely spot on. When a team threatens a run he puts a stop to it, or atleast trys to.

ITS SO REFRESHING. I used to yell at my screen nightly knowing Mike would let the opponent go on a 9-20+pt run without calling a tineout. And that's not an exaggeration.

Correct. It's also the reason why this team stopped blowing other teams out. Sometimes its on the players, but majority of time its the coach that needs to strategically call timeout and stop the opponents flow.
This is the first blowout W that I can remember. I have missed some games earlier this season, but last season was the same. Not many blowout Ws which is absurd with a squad like this.

I know the Warriors would have been tired, but the Kings just held them to 12 made 3s and 3 or 4 of them came in garbage time.

It's a work in progress and lots more to do, but it not only looks better, the results are there.

100% agree. I said at halftime this is Doug's defining half (so far). Mike for sure would have let curry come out 2nd half and get momentum and kings would have fallen apart going iso demar with no fox.

Instead Doug called a timeout at every run, and kings properly responded. Wire to wire W. Love to see it.
