Game 58: Kings (29-28) @ Jazz (14-43)

Post#1 » by codydaze » Thu Feb 27, 2025 2:02 am

In Utah to face off against a Jazz team that is down bad this year and will be without some key players on top of it. Looking for another performance like last night. Build some good momentum going into a tough March schedule.

How long it takes Doug to change this starting lineup and insert Keon is a testament to coaching

Lavine two turnovers to start, his, yes, low motor starts and cues are getting old

Keegan has been so, so good defensively this year. I really hope he and Keon both get some consideration for the All Defense teams. I think our overall defense will keep them from making it, ultimately, but both of them have been so good.

Lot of good.. Zac is silky... Keegan made some plays.... but even I have to admit the Monk PG experiment since the Fox trade...... not sure what you do with it but hope it gets better, but he also has no conception of the right pass in the open floor

Zac is just a steady player, all around.... He's got the next 5-7 years here easy

Keegan, make this more than the once a blue moon...

Keon still putting up serious impact stats

Domas has played too much over the last few seasons, and doesn't have legs

Start Keon for Demar, and lets stop playing games.. Christie is on the clock with this

Im glad you came around on Keon, but haven't I seen you still defending Mike? One of the big reasons brown got fired was his inconsistent keon minutes imo. Dnps, 10mins, 5mins..

I agree keon should start but that's been painfully obvious since first game of the season tbh

Those two have kept us from being historically bad defensively. Two of my favorite players on the team by far

Well, I mean, since you seem laser focused on defense, Keon may have caught your eye earlier. But I think thats just been the course of the guys career. He came out of the G league as a utility player, and has solidified himself with time.

I don't think it was the coaching change, Huerter just played himself out of team and roster progressively that seemed to coincide with Doug, but I think it wouldve been the same pattern with Mike

I think Mike did what was in front of him, which would be starting Keon at this point

That was a very uneventful game.

Only bad spots were the Turnover Trio were at it again. But they did clean it up as the game went on.

I think we got a glimpse of what's to come. A VERY tight rotation from Doug over the next few games.

Huerter was awful all year.. Mike refused to stop playing him, the minute Doug came in huerter went from 28mpg down to 15, and some games even dnp.

This was actually obvious last year with how bad huerter was. Mike saw that first handed, and saw how good keon was the last 30 games and still didn't figure it out.

Not sure how to work around this as Mike would have somehow figured it out.

Keon's minutes seemed to remain constant from Mike to Doug from reading Keon's boxscores from my view ?

Mike started playing him 20-25 minutes a couple weeks out, than Doug seemed to do the same aside from that 4 game stint Fox was hurt and Keon could play 30+? Than Huerter played himself totally out of the rotation opening more minutes
