We retain Doug Christie as a coach and he brings in Bobby J and includes a former head coach or coaches to bolster his staff (similar to what reddick did with lakers)

It is obvious that demar is best in a half court set up so try and trade him for a running 4/5 (might have to include a first if that player is an up and coming)

It is also clear that monk has not been the same since the fox trade.. see if you can move for a starting or backup solid pg or maybe a draft pick in 2025

Finally move on from McNair. Hire someone that you trust but who has a good relationship with Christie.

Other than that let’s see where everything else falls. Of Sabonis wants out then listen to offers but we need at a minimum an Allstar back and/or 2-3 solid first.. not giving him away but would consider a Flagg for Sabonis.. not going to happen but would consider

There's a negative chance a team offers us Flagg for Sabonis.

1. Fire McNair
2. Hire young G.M. from a well-run organization that learned from the best
3. Give that G.M. a 5 year contract and complete power to tear the team down to the studs
4. Trade everyone you can. Take back vets and showcase them for deadline trades. Get as many 2026 and 2027 draft picks as possible. Having multiple lottery picks in the all-timer 2026 draft could be franchise altering.
5. Tank in 2026, rinse and repeat showcasing vets for deadline trades and give young guys solid developmental minutes.
6. Let young guys drafted or acquired via trades all the minutes in 2027
7. Team should be back in contention with exciting young guys, cap space to go after surrounding cast and overall with a much better and more well-constructed roster in 2028

If we don't fire McNair there is literally no point watching or caring. Even if he was given the mandate of a rebuild I don't want him in charge of it.

The biggest thing here is give the new GM complete power. As long as Vivek remains hands on, this org is toast.

That's the issue, Vivek seemingly will always be hands on.

not a good sign that Perry sounds like we're going to be getting more of the same with tinkering around the edges trying to contend with this lot. Of course, he could just be holding his cards close to the vest but I don't think so. I do not have much optimism going that route and if that's what's happening he'll be fired within 4 years at which time we'll be hiring a GM and HC to rebuild like we should now.

I am moving to Fresno soon, and Sacramento is the closest place to catch NBA basketball in person. Are there any special places (food, cultural, etc.) that are worth seeing in Sacramento? For reference, I enjoy basketball, obviously, but I also enjoy museums, anything about international politics (I am a professor of international relations), technology, and great food (but can't do fish or seafood).

I would definitely check out the Crocker Art Museum. It's just a few blocks away from Golden 1 Center and is a really great museum that typically has some pretty awesome exhibits that rotate through. Would definitely hit up the State Capitol as well, it's pretty cool to walk through and also has a museum to check out.

Sacramento also has a really underrated food scene, there are lots of great restaurants and food options in the city. If you're looking for a pricier fine dining experience, I would highly recommend Allora. I've been there a few times for special occasions and it is top notch every time. Localis is another high end place that is an awesome tasting menu experience, would definitely recommend the wine pairing if you do go. Both of these spots are pricy but excellent.

Some of my other favorite restaurants in town that are actually affordable are Adamo's for the best pasta in town (you can also take a pasta making class there!), Chita's for my personal favorite taqueria in town and Journey to the Dumpling is an awesome Chinese food restaurant with a really cool vibe. Kodaiko is a cool ramen spot as well that's just up the block from G1C. There are also a ton of local breweries if craft beer is your thing (check out Alaro, Device and Urban Roots).

Enjoy the city! It's a much cooler place than it gets credit for.

Thank you so much! My boyfriend and I are excited about the move to Fresno, but we definitely want to use this as an opportunity to get to know other cities (we've lived in Los Angeles for the last two years). These recommendations sound amazing!

Nice! I've got some family in Fresno but not super familiar with the area. I'd definitely recommend getting out to Lake Tahoe at some point as well, obviously for the snow in the winter but it's beautiful in the summer too.

I didn't know you were female. I tend to picture everyone subconsciously as male who has bball knowledge on the board, lol. Maybe you'll have a little more affinity for what we go through following this team after seeing a game. In addition to codydaze's suggestion, might check out old sac too before a game

I'm not a woman haha : ) but there are a few women on the board who are super knowledgeable, there is a poster on the Wolves board I like a lot but their name escapes me! I have actually always really liked the Kings, I remember Brad Miller murdering us back in the Kevin Martin days (and obviously the Adelman-CWebb years).

As if things couldn't get any worse, Dallas and San Antonio get the number 1 and 2 picks...

Dallas gets Flagg as their new cornerstone and San Antonio gets an even more valuable trade chip for Giannis...

If only the organization valued holding onto the pick realizing it was more valuable than a national televised embarrassment and we lost the last game of the year to the Suns.

Now we have no pick, a team built around DeRozan and Lavine with Sabonis most likely wanting out.

Just tear it down for once and see if that works.

It’s a step towards competing in the wind :(

Not only that, but one of the reasons I liked the Fox trade was the variability of the picks, as in I question Wemby’s durability, and this makes San Antonio better (though I haven’t heard there is a consensus 2 pick)

There were actually fans on here trying to downplay Haliburton greatness.. (oh, he didn’t play great d… darn)

May be worse than Luka at this point …

I fault Vivek on that for pressuring Monte into that with the win now dictum and Fox having a doldrums year and having no value
