I'm guessing that's Kevin Martin and I don't think we'd even trade Wright for him.

And trust me we wouldn't even trade Kevin Martin for Monta ellis and Brandan wright

I know what Ron Ron can do. I still don't consider him a star.

Is he a top 30 player? or even a top 40 player?

I'm just not someone who throws the word "star" around.

He's a Top 5 SF. That's a star in my book.

1. Lebron
2. Carmelo
3. Pierce
4. Butler
5. Artest

Why even waste time debating exactly what level of "star" Ron Artest is? Everyone's seen him play and they know his impact on the game. All this talk about where you'd rank Artest is totally and completely besides the real point.

That's not the question. The issues with Artest are that he's a nutcase and he's going to opt out and demand a new deal. Those are the important things. If it weren't for those 2 things, the Kings probably wouldn't be looking to deal him in the first place.

That's why nobody's knocking down the Kings' door looking to give up key pieces to get him. They know he could go nuts at any given moment and they know he's going to opt out this summer.

Therefore, teams view Artest as a 3 month rental. Nothing is assured after that. Nobody in the league is going to give up anything key for that. Ric Bucher during the Nugz-Wiz game came on and said Denver was pulling out of the Artest "derby" because they don't want to give up Najera and Lina Kleiza for him.

You know what, I have not seen much in the last couple of pages of this thread to make me believe that this topic is really going anywhere. No need to keep seeing new posts that just continuously argue and reargue the same points.

ICMTM or Mitch, if either of you think this thread has some salvageable value, feel free to unlock it.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.
