Having a big man who can produce off the bench are very important to elite teams as well. I just dont think Shelden is a good enough player to be the long term starter at PF. I still think he can produce at a good rate off the bench though.

I agree.

I think he could only really be a set starter next to a high-level two-way big man like a Duncan/Ewing/Shaq/Hakeem/D-Rob, etc. Being an above-average helper big man.

Depends how things work out with he and Spencer, if it would be possible. I think were going to get a more talented PF in one of the next two drafts, also.

I read a lot of mixed things about Sheldon Williams so I don't know what to expect. One thing is for sure we are running with a PG that was left for dead so why can't Williams be a diamond in the rough? Martin was almost unheard of. Salmons was considered a malcontent to Philly fans and he's turned out great here so far. I think Garcia kind of fell to us in the draft.

Petrie has been doing a great job with no resources (money and cap space) so I'm optimistic this will work well.
