Anyway, im perfectly fine with kevin martin being a lot more agressive. At times we (as kings fans) have killed him for being passive or soft. And i do understand what some of you are saying though, Martin obviously needs to learn how to balance the two.

haha

Well hey, you had a whole day to see it, and I just read the thread initially earlier last night :P.

If he can be aggressive, thus drawing the D's attention, and then use that to make plays for others (which, like others have said, he has gotten better and better at) he should be right where he needs to be there.

Well said.

I do wonder though....I mean like....at some point you'd think that defenders would be like "okay, I have to play off of him here to not get another petty blocking call" or "I just can not bite on his pump fakes". If defenders do ever generally figure that out, I'll be interested in seeing how Kevin adjusts.
Great point, earlier in the season i remember the cavs coming to arco in November and Lebron really locking down Kevin on a couple of plays. After the game was over, one of the reporters on ESPN asked him why he was successful in doing so, and he responded by saying something like "i just knew that if i didnt bite on his pump fakes then i would make it tougher on him".

Although i do agree that his playmaking does need to improve, i dont think that is the # 1 focus. I think the main thing he needs to work on is Ball handling. I have noticed so many times (and Reggie Thues has as well) that when Kevin begins his attack to the paint or something and cant get a good look right away or someone cuts him off....he just picks up his dribble and passes the ball.

I wouldn't say that this game meant nothing. We need 1 more win to tie last year's total and 2 more to show that we are on an upswing. I was disappointed with the loss, but (unfortunately) I have become numb to the letdowns.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Well, the ball-handling is part of the play-making. That was included in my intent before. The passing part of it really does need to be a consistency, though. So it's something that he'll go to when he's struggling to score. As well as just elevating his offensive game.

Not exactly, because he made 7 trips to the line for 12-14 FTs. So he drew a lot of fouls off shot attempts, as of course he does a good deal of the time.

Yeah, fair enough. :)
