Okay, but do you believe that Petrie made a good trade when dealing Webber?

Webber Trade = Garbage

I don't believe it was a good trade.

Really? Kenny Thomas the player that everyone was loving the first half season of the trade, the player that many believed could be our starting PF for years to come.

I mean, if Kenny Thomas can't even be a 3rd string PF/C on an nonplayoff team, then exactly how bad was that Webber trade.

Well first off, I, and most others thought that he was really solid when he first got here, and he was--but nobody was ever thinking he could be some kind of really nice starter--more of just a good stopgap. But if you've watched him at the beginning of this year or at all last year, it seems that the guy has just forgotten how to play basketball.

The trade wasn't bad at first, but it turned out to be bad because Kenny's abilities just disappeared--particularly offensively. For example, he used to be a fine mid-range shooter. Now he can't even make a layup. Kenny's contract was always bad, but now he can't even make a layup.

The Webber trade was nothing to be proud of--everybody knew that from the beginning, but it was the best we could get, and when you go in with the attitude of "well we're going to trade him and just get what we can", teams recognize that and lowball you, and I think that that is exactly what happened here.
