Yeah NBA champion as the 13th man on the Lakers.

But the best 13th man ever in the history of basketball!

He can't help he was traded to a team of evil-doers.

to end this thread hijack, if you asked me who's the better player its probably Webber, if you asked me who's Greatest player Ever in Sacramento Kings History id say mitch.

Edit:Webber with the kings he was not very durable, he never plays through pain, and he never took his game to another level comes playoffs time, its his fault for our poor showing in these Playoffs and not wining the championship, fair or not That's how things works in the NBA the superstar takes the blame.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

He never played through pain? WTF that is the stupidest garbage I've ever read on RealGM(and I've read some stupid crap here). How about the year where he returned from MICROFRACTURE SURGERY, where he was playing fresh off freaking holes drilled in his knee? I remember him saying that in 03-04 he had trouble climbing up the stairs to his house after games because his knee was in so much pain.

He never took his game to another level? You obviously don't have the videos because I do and I've watched those games over and over. Fact is he and Mike were THE ONLY Kings who took their game to another level in the playoff. If you want to blame someone for choking in the playoffs, HOW ABOUT PEJA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMV5o0OU ... re=related

Peja is a choker. He has repeatedly choked. He did it again this year when NO needed him most vs SA, he started throwing up airballs. Sorry but that 3 pointer had the chance to send us to the NBA finals, and dude couldn't even draw rim. He will forever be blamed as the jackass who choked IMO, not Webber, because Webb wasn't the dude airballing shots in crunch time.

ok let me rephrase, Chris always been hurt and always will be (he hasn't played 80+ games his whole career), and yeah c-webb didnt choke, but he didnt take his game to another level ether, look at Kobe for example: he raises every single aspect of his game up another level in the playoffs, He obviously prepared himself and elevated his game to a different level, sadly i cant say the same thing about c-webb.

good point, funny thing peja He never was the clutch player on the early 2000 Kings teams; he is the clutch player on the Hornets, witch make
you wonder

In that 42 game season that was the 50 game year so I don't care about that one. The 46 game season he had played nearly game of UNTIL HE WAS TRADED. He was always there in the playoffs so I don't really care about games played in the regular season. The guy was the reason we were relevant and he was our best player, regular season or playoffs. I actually have games on tape where he played damn good in the playoffs so I'll disagree about the "taking his game to another level" thing. He did that plenty of times, but sometimes it doesn't work out for you and it didn't for him, he would have a championship if Peja had made that wide open shot.

He would be remembered as a winner, 2nd best PF behind TD of his generation, superstar, HOF lock, etc. if Peja hadn't missed that jumper. We would've stomped the Nets pretty easily and that Kings team would have a championship.

I don't get you guys and your "we have to constantly diss Webber" ideas. I mean first you say he wasn't as good as Richmond, people prove you wrong. Then you complain that he sucked in the playoffs and it was his fault, you're proven wrong. You say he never played through pain, you're proven wrong. You say it's his fault we never won a championship and you're proven wrong. People say he was never a good shotblocker or defender, they're proven wrong. You guys have said all this stuff that's either made up hate or a stereotype and you're proven wrong and instead of letting it go and letting people appreciate the BEST PLAYER in Sacramento Kings history, you just keep saying bad stuff about him which 99% of isn't true. Just stop being a hater and learn to appreciate the whole reason you got to even watch the Kings play in the spotlight for a couple years. Ok?

Wow. You are biggest Webber homer of all time. Its just hard to believe how blind you are. Also your hate against Peja is just funny. I have nothing against Webber, have multiuple jerseys of him, also DADA shoes, but I can see his shortcmings. First of all, he will never be known as clutch player. Go start thread on general board about Webber and crunch time. He will be known as Mr. timeout for all time. Is also known to hide when it counts. Does that makes him legend. Nope, this guy never won anything. Great player, yes, legend, no way. I did saw many, many kings games in last 10 years. One thing that I can say is that after 2002 playoffs, Webber was nothing more then cancer for a team. Check this stat: since the beginning of 2003-2004 season: Kings with Webber - 38 wins, 31 losses; Kings without Webber - 50 wins, 16 losses.... This team obviously played better without it's "star". As with any selfish, overrated player, Webber is quick to point out that he is a "team" (why do all me-first guys have to constantly say how much of a team guy they are?) player and that everyone else needs to pick up the slack. Funny, because the Kings never seemed to have a problem picking up the intensity and winning games when #4 is in street clothes. Before Webb camed back, The Kings had the best record in the league, the best two big man combination in the league and one to the leagues top scorers. He comes back, hes not ready yet and everything goes to hell. He then tries to motivate his teamates by blaming them for the collapse, questioning their work ethic and saying he needs to be more selfish, exert more control and etc. He gets traded to Philly, agreeing to the trade, gets booed and says he thought they got him for the Star he is, not was. They get dumped in the play offs and then says, its his game that needs to change not the teams.

Peja was one of the best SFs at that time. Peja won back to back world championship titles for his country as first option, won also multiple european championships. So i dont see why you call him loser. You are putting all the blame just on Peja for the loss in game seven. Thats just ignorant and pathetic. Stojakovic has shortcomings, but at least, he never pretended to be something special. Never gived damn about stats. Do you even watch basketball outside of NBA? Go check, it will help you.

This is true, but it's mostly due to one play he made as a college student and not his play in the NBA. The fact is that Webber was often very clutch. Just off the top of my head I can think of at least 5 game-winners he hit for us over the years--and that's not counting other just big shots for given times, that's just looking at actual game winners. Chris may never be widely known as a clutch player, but that doesn't change the fact that he was.
